Spent 25 bucks for expired yogurt. Great.
Went into the store to get boba, employee was very rude and she was very rude about saying the store was closed, very ugly tone. It was 5:30 and they didn’t close until 6.
Ice cream is really good, nothing wrong with the product. My family loves to come and we come frequently. I’m only giving 2 stars because there are a few staff who are very rude and the hours are weird. We called to see what time they closed and the girl said 6 we showed up at 5:15 and by the time we got finished paying they said that we needed to leave because they were closing this was 5:20 we sat outside and ate and watched at least 15- 20 people come up to see if they were open only to get turned away, this all happened before 6. We have also driven past several times when they were supposed to be open and they were not.
Staff is friendly, they have two registers which makes it confusing to know where to start a line. Ordered a hot chocolate, nothing special in that, you can get one better at a gas station. They got three stars because of the fried Oreos! They were good. I love that they have games for the kiddos.. frozen yogurt for the win, hot chocolate or coffee is a hard pass.
Great Caramel Macchiato, hot cocoa and soft drinks. Friendly staff. Whole family was happy and played some big yard games as we warmed up!
Gemma, Gianna ,and Guadalupe amazing young ladies made us feel welcome in a clean friendly environment.
We showed up right at closing and they were all still awesome! Great place and great service from Airalyl, Gemma, and Gianna.
Love taking my kids here but I can't believe they are charging $7 for 6 fried oreos. Considering how much it cost to make them, charging over $1 per oreo is ridiculous and pure greed.
Cool environment but we got the wrong order, sent it back, got the wrong order again and then the employee told us that our vanilla and reese's shake tasted like strawberries and came out pink because of the mixing process.
I would leave 0 stars but that’s not an option. It took OVER 30 MINUTES for a single boba drink that took 30 seconds to make. MANY other customers got their order BEFORE I did. Ridiculous. My sister ordered shakes and the frozen yogurt tasted gross, in addition to taking over 30 minutes for that too.
I grew up in Ruidoso and we never really had a place like this to hang out. So it was awesome when they opened up. I love going there for a treat. I have since moved away so my husband and I always try to stop by whenever we are in town. I love that theres lots of options and it’s super clean!
Every time I've gone to Simple Sugars the experience has been very nice. It's super clean, and the treats are fresh and delicious! 😊 The employees have been nice and efficient. It's our grandson's favorite place to go for a fun snack. Highly recommend!
As a local that works near this establishment, I make frequent trips for myself and my family. It is evident that cleanliness, quality, and customer service is taken seriously here. The colors in design, music, and games create such a fun and comfortable atmosphere for families and friends. In addition to the delicious snacks, I have come to especially enjoy making a miniature work of art out of my frozen yogurt bowl and the many toppings available.
As an employee of this business I feel super comfortable bringing my toddler here. He has food allergies and I also think that cleanliness is important in a food serving establishment. Because of these reasons there are many places I don’t feel comfortable taking him, but we always have a great time at Simple Sugars because there are many options for him and I know the owners take cleanliness extremely seriously. I also love that the employees are happy to bring toppings from the back for my son and anyone else with allergies so I know they haven’t touched anything else on the topping bar. I enjoy working there and I have been a happy customer for years. :)
Worst customer service, but not surprised. As a pair of locals that patron this shop every weekend we were disgusted by the way we were treated today, 13 Aug 2022 @ 1730. Last weekend I shared this spot with another and the young ladies had no qualms providing spoons for the purpose of sampling. Today, I and my girlfriend visited the shop and decided to try different combinations. I tasted my combination from my own bowl, liked it so added more. When we reached the register we were charged $3.00 custom item. I inquired what that charge was and the very rude and unskilled girl replied, “we watched you taste some of the product before buying it” I then responded, “I was making sure I wanted to add more of the same product” she then said, “well we don’t allow that” I inquired, “ok well last week the other young lady had no problem with sampling” she then shrugged her shoulders and said, “well I don’t know what to tell you, I’m not going to allow it!”. This snottiness could have been handled in a more professional manner. Walmart talenti will be the better weekend treat. Our year round money will no longer be handed to this company until there are improvements.
They were super kind, the boba was delicious, my sisters loved the variety of yogurts and toppings, they are bilingual and we even got a free smoothie!
I have been here multiple times, I love the Boba and they used to have fried oreos but they don't anymore. Still amazing Boba and fro-yo, good area to chill and have a snack with friends or family.
Cool place in downtown Ruidoso NM. Best choc shake ever. It was so rich it made my head shake.
Google says they are open from 12:00 to 7:00 on Thursdays. I came from Seattle to visit family for my birthday, and my grandmother has been talking about this place for months. So we drove all the way from Alamogordo just to try this place out. After the drive to come specifically here, they were closed. I checked their website to see if it said something different than the Google listing thinking that maybe we should have checked there, instead. Nope, their website says the same thing. The very first thing that shows up on their website is "Open today until 7:00 PM." Really disappointing. I know it's hard times right now for small businesses having enough employees, but it'd be nice to have the website and listings updated so people don't drive out of their way and waste their time for nothing. All well, maybe next time. At least TCBY was open to fill our cravings.
