I understand that it is the only option for labbies but really it’s nothing spectacular. Had the generic menu of NM restaurant. Basic burritos and coffee etc.nothing to write home about.

Meals keep getting smaller and smaller. Paid $15 for a burrito bowl with extra meat. I’ve seen larger kids meals for half the price at reputable venders. Since they’re one of the only food places close to the lab, they just charge whatever they want and get away with it.. Do not tip.

Good for casual lab meetings. It's comfortable enough to dine alone if you must

Some mornings the turn off the phones, have to walk in to order. Counter staff is typically rude or indifferent. Quality is inconsistent. We get breakfast from here 1-2x per week. I always get the chorizo breakfast burrito, one day it will just be ok or passable, and another time it will be excellent. Overall I prefer Parasol breakfast but this is where my coworkers go since its super close by.

If you work at the lab, this is a good bet for lunch or even breakfast. It's the New Mexican take on a deli, so you can get a sandwich or a burrito. I happen to think they make the best breakfast burrito in town, and the handheld bean burrito is not too shabby either.

Are you too cool for the main cafeteria at LANL? Then this is the place for you. Get your jargon on while chowing down with the lab scientists. Arrive early to avoid the line at noon.

Great coffee and breakfast burritos. The girls up front are excellent at their jobs and always friendly. The back of the house guys are fast, great at their jobs, and always get my order right. Would 100% recommend to anyone

Basic pretty good food. Beats going all the way into Los Alamos for lunch. Most things seem made in house, so that's a plus. Just not their smoothies.

Pretty good food, quick friendly service. The coffee was not good, the syrup tasted very artificial

PLEASE USE COOKING SPICES AND MARINADE AND SEASON FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR FOOD TASTES EXTREMELY BLAND! The two options for food inside LANL are Hot Rocks which seems to be independent, and Ottowi which is ran by Aramark. Aramark's quality seems dependent on location. That sets the bar pretty low, but Hot Rocks doesn't seem to aim any higher than Aramark. Consider using salt and pepper! The food comes with a taste as if the cooks have no concept of what salt, pepper, or really any seasoning whatsoever is! I found that the very few things that can be cooked decently --not great, but okay, are that involving steak. I started to realize that the cooks are my impression of what a guy without any culinary training would cook like. Beyond the basics the stereotypical man without a culinary background can do, don't expect any flavor or skill behind the food.

They need much better instructions for folks coming in from out of town for how to find them. Was not expecting to have to pass through security gates.
