Food was delicious. We stopped for breakfast and each got the el cafecito special, which is a ground beef filled omlette with potatoes and beans. Mine was covered in queso, and his covered in green chile and cheese. It was interesting, different and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean restaurant, which is something I watch closely for. 😊😋👍
We went late on a Thursday. There were plenty of tables. The food was wonderful! The salsa was on the spicy side, but it was a fantastic accompaniment to the delicare, crisp chips! The red chili sauce was great on my tamales. The sopapillas were big and fluffy. The walls were full of lovely metal sculptures, mostly lizards. Our daughter has food allergies and the server went to check on items he was not sure about (the oil for frying), but he was able to readily answer most of her concerns. We were passing through, but if/when we travel through again, we will definitely eat here.
We came here for breakfast every morning while in town and would totally come again. The staff were kind and fast and the food was the perfect fuel to start the day.
Awesome food, outstanding service and decent prices. It is also not outrageously expensive like other places. The sopapillas are dangerously good!

We pass thorough Grants about 4 times a year. We always stop love the green chile. Sad to hear that they are only open 3 or 4 days a week. It's worth the stop.
For as busy as this restaurant was, it did not take long to get our food. The service was great and everything tasted amazing!

I don't know about lunch and dinner menus, but their sausage and potato burrito was closer to bland than tasty. I suggest asking to add eggs. Our waitress seemed put out when we asked for salsa and condiments.
Wow! Just wow - we tried this place on a recommendation from some friends and they were dead on! El Cafecito is amazing. Very simple menu but the flavors! Started with teezer nachos, the queso on it was spicy and fantastic. I had beef, bean and guacamole sopapilla covered in green chile sauce also had a beef chimichanga with guacamole with green Chile sauce both of these items were delicious! The real surprise was desert. Basically a sopapilla stuffed with home made cherry pie filling rolled up like a chimi and deep fried, served with vanilla ice cream (icecream was $1 extra) They also offered peach and apple filling and when I go back will sample the others as well and will update my review! When we were departing and paying up front they had the biggest cinnamon rolls I’ve ever seen and also turnovers with the same fillings described above! If you’re any where close to this place you should stop by, you will NOT be disappointed! I am posting a pic of my plate - it’s messy because I took a bite before the photo… I went back through here yesterday - 21Apr2023 - had breakfast. Larry’s special with green chile sauce - plus an order of French toast. Larry’s special was awesome the French toast was basic, but good. I bought a cinnamon roll to go and heated it up later with some butter as recommended by the staff and it was delicious. I’d recommend this place for any meal!
Food was great but was served cold coffee asked another employee for a fresh pot and didnt hesitate to serve some fresh coffee the server we had was a little rude could definitely work on customer satisfaction
Wow. We missed breakfast, but the lunch was just so darn good. Check out the sauces. Yummy. The atmosphere and service were grand. Hats off to all the employees. Job well done. Restaurant was super clean. Highly recommend.
If I could give this place no stars I would. Food wasn't good. Rice is so soupy. Tostada beans were cold. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Eat at McDonald's.
Back in the day; it used to be good. But unfortunately, something has changed. It tasted more like Tex Mex from Southern Arizona.
I really enjoy the Larry special breakfast it offers a little of everything and el cafecito has great green Chile, the staff is always friendly and kind. Service is wonderful hardly any wait in the drive through and dine is just as great.
Happens anywhere at anytime, but there was a foreign inedible object in my food. Everything else was great. Willing to try again and maybe change review in the future.

Driving through town on our way to Ontario from California. Simple, but comfortable, seating. Clean. Fast, friendly wait staff. But the food! It was amazing. We've been eating a lot of Mexican on this trip, but this was the best!
