If you want authentic NEW MEXICAN cuisine with the friendliest staff and the most quaint restaurant; look no further than Jerry's Cafe. I can't begin to explain the sheer joy I had when I first stepped in and could smell the chili peppers in the air. The chips were fresh and the salsa was the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Please do yourself a favor and get your butt down to Jerry's; whether you're a local or just traveling along historic route 66. Jerry's will keep you full and happy and I promise it won't disappoint.

First time in Gallup New Mexico so thought we would find a local place for lunch and Jerry’s was top of the list. We had a Combination Burrito w/ Green Chili and an Open Face Chili Cheeseburger. Whatever you decide to try, make sure to get the green chili!! The restaurant and restrooms were clean and our waitress was awesome! If ever you happen to be in the area, give it a try. You will be glad you did👍

Delicious!!! Passing through Gallup for a night and we found a review online for Jerry’s Cafe. Since the reviews were good we decided to give it a try instead of going to a chain restaurant. We are so glad we did. Everything we had was really good.

Best find in Gallup. Located on a side street. Small, quaint place. Very busy. Friendly, helpful staff. The New Mexican food was absolutely delicious, their chile sauces were the best!! Definitely recommend.

Jerrys is a great spot. As travelers, we appreciate good local offerings as an alternative to the big chains. Foo dis straight forward and delicious. I had egg, sausage toast and tea. Nothing bad there! a great start to the day. Staff is just wonderful!

EAT LIKE A NEW MEXICAN! This is a spot that serves the local cuisine, which I can only really call “New-Mexican”. You’ve heard of Tex-Mex? Well check out New Mex. lol Green Chilies. Eggs. Cheese on everything. Sloppy sauce. Burn your face off salsa. The fluffiest and most delicious sopaipilla in history. It’s a wild mix of flavors and ingredients. I can’t imagine a meal like this is less than 3,000 calories. Seriously ridiculous. In Gallup nearly 50% of the people are Native American. This night at Jerry’s my partner and I may have been the only people who weren’t. I never felt odd a second. The smiles, customer service and old fashioned hospitality made us feel right at home. I’m not sure if I’m cut out for the sloppy, spicy, cheese topped carb filled decadence of New Mexican cuisine, but I wouldn’t blame you if you were. If you’ve never had something like this make sure you do. It’s a experience!

Yummy and authentic Mexican food with very friendly service! I didn’t dine in, but the hostess and waiter were very kind and informative. I had the beef taco and cheese enchilada and they were both very good. The restaurant is very casual and a great place to eat as you explore Gallup, New Mexico and Route 66!

My parents used to bring us here after we got our Saturday shopping done, that's over 40 years ago! It's just as DELICIOUS now as it was then. I love everything Jerry's but the long line. But it's worth it!!

If you need to get some dinner in Gallup, GO TO JERRY'S. This is the place to find the authentic New Mexican food you're craving. Just go. Been there since the late 60s, and thankfully hasn't changed much. Cannot recommend enough!

Don’t let parking stop you from visiting this gem! There is a parking lot designated for Jerry’s parking across the road. Diner vibe feels with rodeo photos and portraits on the wall. The staff are very friendly and prompt! The fresh sopaipilla’s with honey hit the spot. Our table had the create your own plate with chicken&cheese enchiladas with red sauce, served with beans and rice. This plate was very good! They could not stop talking about how juicy and flavorful the chicken tasted but wished the rice had more flavor. The next item was Cherelle’s Choice and you better be hungry! This monster is a flaky sopaipilla stuffed with quac, pork carnitas, and smothered with Chile and cheese. We chose red Chile, which has some heat, but next time I would have red and green on the side to enjoy both! This was the best meal! Very generous portions.

Excellent food. The staff was super! Our server, Adrienne (I think) was awesome. They were packed when we got there, but the wait was short and the service when we sat down was quick and efficient. Did I say the food was excellent?

One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Outstanding green chili. Glad I stopped in. It won’t be the last time.

Chile sauce was great and the sopapillas best I ever had. The place was full and people were waiting outside but we got right in. These people really hustle!
