UPDATE: There was a short period of time that the quality of food improved along with the service. I changed my review to 5 Stars. But that was temporary. Our last few visits have been disappointing with a noticeable change in ingredients and quality. But the real issue on my last visit was the attitude of the owner. I ordered enchiladas which I used to get fairly often. The ingredients had changed significantly and I couldn't eat it due to my dietary restrictions. I sent it back and let them know that the changes caused an issue for me. The owner became a bit irate and nasty. Not only did he get an attitude but he refused to remove the item from our ticket. He said I would be charged for that meal plus anything else I ordered instead. I chose not to order anything else a d paid for a meal I couldn't eat. The manager was obviously uncomfortable with his attitude and very apologetic. We were there at around 6pm. That used to be a busy time that often had a wait for a table. However only one other table was occupied. But the owner apparently feels he has enough business to chase off the local customers. Attitude can sink a business quicker than financial problems. We live less than a mile from this establishment and I don't plan on ever going there again as long as it remains under the current owner. Pathetic at best. With new eateries nearby and more in the process of opening, there are better choices of local businesses to support. We highly recommend Lisa's Truck Stop in Moriarty as a local business to support. Excellent food and service and the indoor remodel is beautiful. Don't waste your time or money at East Mountain Grill. Sadly, the quality and taste of the food has greatly declined. This used to be our favorite restaurant in the east mountain area. After change of ownership, Katrina's is not the culinary gem it once was. This morning, we came for breakfast. They used to have big fluffy pancakes and tender fresh sausage. What we were served today was a disgr

It took a 1/2 hour + just to get seated and now it’s over a 1/2 hour since placing our order & still haven’t received our food! We have brought n out of town guest… this is embarrassing!! They never seem to get get their act together!
I have loved half a mile down the road from east mountain grill for 20 years, never had any issues UNTIL this past 6-7 months or so. I haven’t wanted to put a review unless it was good news but currently, the food I’ve been getting served is inhumane and just flat out DISGUSTING!! Completely pink meats, eggs shells I’m my burritos, soaked tortilla in grease 🤮 the service is always pretty great, and atmosphere is fairly good! But the food I personally have been getting served is actually something they should get color carded for I could get very I’ll, and I’ve wasted my money the past times and I still give a larger tip than asked for, I just couldn’t take it this time another $16 burrito in the trash and an EMPTY STOMACH for me :/
Management appears to not care about customer service or even being hospitable. Our server was excellent and most of the food was great. But we watched so many customers walk into the restaurant and have to wait to be acknowledged by anyone working there. There always seemed to be a more important area for employees to be than up front greeting people. And when it came time to check out, we had a wonderful experience with our server who also acted as the cashier but the manager was rude and acted as if she didn't care for us to be there.

Hearty breakfast and good service. Pretty standard choices but everything was on point and tasty. Server got a little bit slammed with a late morning rush but handled it well. All in all a good place to go for breakfast.

Watch out for inedible items in your food and don't expect ANYONE to care about it! This place USED to be great... I've been coming to Katrinah's for years. Even during the pandemic, they made a real effort to keep customers coming back. Unfortunately, my last few trips have been ultimately disappointing. Today was the worst so far. Lunch can always be hectic. (I'm a lunch time server myself) Most people are in a time crunch and it's easy to get overwhelmed. That's what I reasoned to myself as I stood waiting for a few minutes at the door with many "please wait to be seated" signs visible. In that time I witnessed four servers and at least one manager(or possibly owner?) buzzing around. For a 15-20 table restaurant (plus take-out), I figure each server has about 5 tables. A server eventually gets me seated and brings my drink, but excuses herself and assures me she'll "be right back." Several minutes pass. My closed menu and inquiring eye contact turn her around as she sweeps past. She hurriedly takes my order and is gone again. I ordered the Southern Salad with Green Chile Ranch and Grilled Chicken (my favorite). After another few minutes my salad comes out. Despite it not having any tomatoes, I decided to dive in and enjoy anyway. I was not checked on again. In fact, I had to call my server to my table to show her the very large piece of green plastic that I found in my food! Of course, she was as surprised as I was. I asked her to take my plate away and notify the management. She came back and offered no apology but said she would be returning with my bill. There was $1.38 removed from my total. No one came by to offer any kind of explanation or condolences for the piece of trash that was in my salad. I was shocked to find that no one seemed concerned about the plastic that was hiding in my meal! The taco salad had a small handful of spinach and no other greens. Fortunately we had lettuce at home. The beef in the salad was like meat from Taco Bell. And the tortilla bowl was very stale and inedible. We used to go here 2-3 times a week when it was owned by Kathy . We give them a try about once a year hoping the food gets better, but so far it hasn't. Quality has declined and hasn't improved. The servers are helpful and friendly. The other salads actually had greens and were ok.
Been there several times, at times when they are busy it can take a while to get your food, but it's really good food...
Food was Great. Service people were friendly and nice. Overall it is a good place but which that they had someone dedicated to on being aware of the front to greet those coming in.
Great little local restaurant. Good food, great selection,, and friendly people. They even have a coffee bar.
Great food and service! We want to make coming here a tradition when the family gets together.
