Spent 4 nights in Clovis while out storm chasing. We had breakfast here each morning. Awesome people, food, and the dirty chai was phenomenal. Thank you so much!
I have been here several times since moving here October 2022. 7/10 times the staff has been nice and helpful! A few times my drink was rang up wrong so I nicely corrected them and they seemed irritated that I didn’t want the wrong drink rang up incase of a price difference. Another time I was noticed they were out of a flavor syrup I like but was notified rudely in my opinion. Today I paid over $10 for a large iced breve, because of adding 2 flavors I guess. It’s just overpriced for no reason, which is sad because it’s one of the only decent coffee shops in Clovis. However, I just can’t justify paying over $10 for a coffee just because it’s an extra charge for 1/2 and 1/2, and the added flavors. So unfortunately I will not be going back. Be careful if you order online because it was trying to charge me an extra $2.75 for making it large and iced! Other than this, the coffee shop atmosphere is nice and calm. It’s definitely the nicest coffee shop in this town as far as that. My reason for giving 3 stars is that it’s average to me, considering the overpricing of their drinks. 5 would be if it was the best of the best (as best as you can get in Clovis anyways), 4 would be above average.
I love coming here!!! The coffee is great and the hot chocolate is stellar. All the workers are kind and seem to be treated well. I took some pictures for an essay I’m doing for a class and was fortunate enough to get permission from Mrs. Lansford. I rank them above Starbucks for the overall aesthetic as well as being a great local business!!!! Edit (May 7th, 2023): They play much better music than Walmart and Planet Fitness 👍
Blackwater is the only cafe worth going to in Clovis. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the coffee is well balanced, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. 10/10 recommend.
Very hip for the Clovis scene. Will be my go-to coffee run when I drive through town. Very good coffee!
The London Fog tea & matcha here are like warm hugs from the universe. I also got the avocado toast topped with crunchy sesame seeds and it was very satisfying. Like, were those potatoes picked today? So good! Last, I sampled the chocolate muffin warmed to perfection. Heaven! *Update: Tried the 🍪 peppermint chocolate chip cookie🍪. Warmed up. Absolutely delicious. Chocolate melts on your tongue like a dream. (Braces friendly food) *Drink to pair it with: London Fog (I add lavender) Tomato 🍅 Basil🥦 Soup🍲 So filling and hearty! I got this soup to go, so I could enjoy it at home. It's so yummy! The spices aren't overwhelming, they're balanced nicely with the acid of the tomato.
Always a fan of Blackwater. Great service, wonderful baristas and amazing Coffee and sandwiches.
My husband and I went there and ordered two drinks and got a glass cup. When we went to pick up our drinks there was only one drink they said it was never confirmed that we wanted the drink ??? Even if that was true shouldn’t the barista confirmed if I wanted it before we paid 😒
I love this place! It’s pretty, clean, & just a nice environment overall inside. I tried the lavender cold brew & it was delicious.
My husband and I love coming here for coffee dates 😊 the tomato basil soup is superior to the ones I’ve had at other establishments in Clovis. Making it a goal to try every drink on their menu
You never serve a customer a broken glass! Ever! Espresso was bitter and under extracted. The manager is at fault for this lack of training.
Haven't had anything to eat from there but I've heard it's really good.

What kind of coffee shop doesn't open till 7???? Only lazy people who don't have to work can wait that late to get coffee.
I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is chill, relaxed, & very inviting. The coffee taste is outstanding. They like to create cream designs & they do a pretty good job at it as well!
Very nice, and smallish place. We had the Micah melt, which was delicious, and various beverages. A little pricey, but I feel that it was worth it.
Nice spot for coffee. Air conditioning is great comparable to other buildings. Nice. Great staff and yes coffee is good. A+++.
Great coffee. Variety of selections. Inside is modern, plenty of seating. Items to purchase, tee shirts and stuff. Very impressed.
