Sweet little shop we stopped in when passing through. They cannot do any drinks right now (5/26) due to an ongoing water issue but the fig and goat cheese pastry was worth stopping for. It was outstanding!

What a gem! The owner was absolutely lovely, and made the best chai I’ve ever had at an independent coffee shop. The pâtisseries were beautiful, and would rival any French bakery. Access is very easy, and the shop is immaculate

This place was awesome and definitely a gem for the area! As long as you arrive early the selection is wonderful and the coffee is amazing! Don’t walk here. Run here!

I am very sad. I have been living 20 minutes from this shop for a year and a half and I just discovered this treasure. I am sad because I am moving back to the East Coast and had the opportunity to enjoy this place as a regular, but I’ll have to live with having gone just once. I had a green chili quiche - not long after opening, so it was still nice and warm. The filling was great, but the crust was outstanding. I had a croissant - buttery, flaky, light, and very tasty. I also had a sticky roll - the sugary sauce was delicious, the roll had a perfect chew. And one more - I am not sure what it was called, but it was in the shape of a piece of thick bread with blueberries all over and I suppose a custard type texture. The corners were chewy and scrumptious and the middle was velvety and rich. Also, the coffee was great - I just had a black drip, but they have a serious espresso machine as well. This will remain a lovely memory of what a bakery and coffee shop should be. The Platonic Ideal can be found in Chama, NM.

Best bakery in Chama. The Croissants are great. Once I had a Ham and Swiss Croissant and it was great. Same with the pecan roll and cinnamon twist. I will continue to eat here. Only open Thursday to Sunday. Get there early for a good selection.

Driving out of the town when we came upon this lovely little bakeshop. The pastries were flaky, warm, and flavorful, straight out of the oven. The coffee was delicious and it gave us a chance to try a ham sandwich with mustard and jelly for the first time. Fantastic stop, I definitely recommend it.
