Unfortunately, the last time we were there the owner didn't tell us when our coffee was ready. By the time we asked, both had gone cold while we watched her serving plenty of out of towners. Asking her to reheat them did not go well. One of the big draws for moving to this town had been the promise of a gourmet coffeeshop. But we make it at home now and save ourselves the worry. The shop's become so crowded inside with kitsch that it was getting harder to sit comfortably and chat with our friends anyhow...

Love the FOOD, charming people in the kitchen and at the register, lovely gifts for sale. What a gem! Easy to get to Driving through Carrizozo and knew there would be very little available nearby soon for lunch soon so we stopped in. We ate ham and cheese Croissant sandwiches in the restaurant (delicious) then ordered 1 each of the tamales presumably for lunch but they smelled so good we ate them too early! All were so delicious. His favorite was the pork, mine the veggie. He got chocolate chips cookies. So good, mine Lavendar tea cookie DELISH! Highly recommend this charming place!

Quaint and delish! Coffees amazing. Pastries rich and decadent. A must stop when traveling through the crossroads of New Mexico. Carrizozo is a small town with some cool vibes. 12th Street is sparse but what’s there is worth the trip!!!! The Book of Eli with Denzel Washington was filmed here and about the area. Worth checking out on buyout way through.

Very disappointed and pretty pricy. Got some cookies that I thought would come out of the case, but they pulled them out of the freezer and they were made in New York. Was looking at their root beer and that was made in NJ. I got the vibe everything was local, but I guess not. Though their Gingerbread was pretty good. They also had decent tamales.
