The food is excellent with good variety. The brisketo wrap is the bomb. Order early because their brisket had been know to finish.

First time in Ruidoso, stopped by on my last day for breakfast. Loved it ! And the Cooks in the back had the Mexican song bangers going on!

Been several times for breakfast and it’s good. However, do not get the BBQ my brisket was grey and soaked in BBQ sauce that had been over a warmer all day.

Great small town home cooking vibe at the Alto Cafe. Excellent food. The service was good. The atmosphere was the norm for a homey local cafe where everyone knows everyone. Breakfast is served all day. Definitely stop in if you're in the area and wanting something delicious.

This is the kind of place that when you walk through the door you know it's going to be good. Got the chicken fried steak plate (waitress said it was her favorite) which was excellent. Busy place, worth the wait.

A small, local restaurant with great food and service. Nothing fancy, but food made with love. I ordered the burger and was just prefect.

Best green chile cheeseburger! Everything looked amazing, and every time I'm in town, I'm going back! I love Ruidoso and Alto because it doesn't matter where I go, I feel welcomed and have extraordinary service. Alto Cafe was no exception. Our waitress was so kind, and the food was phenomenal. I'll be back Alto Cafe, you made this New Mexico traveler so happy with your lovely food!

The food is absolutely delish. Everything I have had is hot and tasty. It does get extremely busy!! But the wait list is right inside the door and it goes pretty quick. It does lower the star on atmosphere. It is just a really small place.

We were along our way to Gourmet Firewood when we ran into Alto Cafe. You guys gotta check this place out. Your greeted with a smile and served like a local. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were delicious. My wife had the breakfast burrito (that thing was huge) and of course we finished with and order of pancakes which were hot and fluffy. This place is a must!

They have green Chile chicken Alfredo and fried catfish on Friday’s, and I’m telling you it’s a must try ! The service is awesome; you have to try this local cafe you won’t regret.

Still my favorite breakfast place in Ruidoso and Alto, which says a lot as there's a few newer good spots. I had a tasty omelet, and came back later and had a delicious breakfast burrito. Seems like a place that's a mix of regulars and tourists. The service was extremely polite and friendly. Also the prices are very reasonable. I'll be back there next time I'm in town.
