People The barista's are very conversational and really want to show you the best experience possible. No matter who you are, or how many times you've been at SoPo, you always feel welcome. Food/Drinks The coffee is quite good and very customizable, however the roast that they use is a very acquired taste and may not be for people that are livid coffee drinkers. Their tee is also fantastic. The burrito's are incredible and are my favorite thing to get at SoPo. The Red chili is not too much for those of use real humans that are not from New Mexico and understand that chili is an 'add-on' not a food (unlike New Mexican's). The bacon is great, and the price is almost unbeatable. Seating/esthetics The seats are not comfortable for work or school purposes, and the decorative texture of the building is quite odd; to the point that it looks like someone tried too hard to make it look good, and it turned out bad. But, if you are looking to fall asleep, then the chairs are for you; however, there are 2 leather chairs I don't recommend, as they will give you a wedgy. All in all, I would recommend SoPo, however sitting outside it your best option in the summer time, as the vines are gorgeous and the seating is far better.
This is such a nice little coffee shop. The employees are polite and helpful. Me and my fiancé both got the iced matcha latte and it was one of the best matcha drinks that we’ve ever had. Drinks are significantly cheaper than Starbucks as well. It’s a nice stop before going to church. 10/10
No place like SoPo for a great cup of coffee. ❤️
Nice coffee shop. Good service.
Really good coffee here plus good burritos
Buy a KEURIG, with a K-cup for the best cup of Joe. Coffee places are way too pricey for what you get.
Good Eats & Beverages in a faith believing Book Shop. Nice.
The roasted beans ground up clumpy and the coffee tasted oily. I would not recommend buying the bagged/roasted beans
Awsome coffee.
Inside of Calvary Church bookstore.
Large place, nice furniture but of course they can afford nice amenities since it’s OWNED BY THE CHURCH!!! I hate it here. Also, why do places like this always have large pictures of non-white people? What are they trying to say with this? Makes my skin crawl. Here’s a tip— if you want to make an impact, start by recycling!! Yea. The church owned coffeeshop that hands out paper and plastic products all day doesn’t recycle. True to form.
Love the remodel. They are giving free house roast coffee for the month of July 2022.
Try a white chocolate lavender oatmilk latte and thank me later. Every pastry is so good I can never order just 1. Wow! Such great prices too. Now for ambiance: Huge! Spacious, layout and lovely furniture/decoration. Also, a perfect place for young kids to be entertained with some neat toys and wall ipads. I will absolutely be back. I do wish there was some better signs as I ended up parking on the other side of the church (thanks gps), and walking around a bit with my toddler to find the actual coffee shop.
Atmosphere, menu, pleasant quiet place to study!
very clean and bright but a little creepy if you're not into megachurches
Staff is extremely nice. Coffee is incredible. 2 👍👍
The space is large and nice. Coffee was decent. Staff was friendly. But this place is on church property and, unless you’re into that sort of thing, has the kinda creepy vibe of everyone having drank the kool-aide. Took me a minute to figure out why baristas didn’t have masks on.
Friendly service
Coffee roaster on site, two slayers on bar, Seraphim pour over stations. My espresso with milk 4.5oz was nicely prepared, proper cortado temp and texture. Cold brew was also delicious, had a nice brightness to it versus normal cold brew. Coffeeshop is on church campus.
Great coffee, great people. Lots of room to spread out, have meetings or work quietly. Super fast WiFi!
