July 2022 Not what it was when I last ate here in 2018. The complementary garlic bread served was dry and extremely generic. Prices are way up and not because portions sizes increased, as well. $3.50 for a small bottled water and the same for a small lemonade, both served in a paper cup. Both the vodka sauce and marinara were very forgettable and I also didn’t care that the waitress tried to slip in shrimp as if it was no big deal even though it was another $9, so I'm glad I caught that. Marinara was a watery, tasteless excuse for an Italian staple. Bathroom was a mess, too. And the careless waitress charged me for the wrong bill at $89, and then she begrudgingly had to refund it. So disappointing as it's night and day from last time here. 2018 review: Stopped here for a quick bite. Ordered two bagels, home fries, and a coffee for under $15. Good quick eat-n-run meal. Great, friendly service and it was very clean, including the bathrooms.
wish i could give this place 0 stars. do not come. asked for chicken caesar wrap waiter gave us tuna. i am allergic to tuna and feel sick being around it, stood there asked the man if it is tuna, he lied repeatedly said it was chicken as we are showing him the tuna. asked waiter simple question about substituting sides, told us we could then found out we can’t after being brought all our food. servers are disrespectful and rude and did not take any responsibility. didn’t get an apology for getting tuna and being lied to? you come and eat with paper plates and utensils yet somehow prices are of a normal place. terrible, then told her workers we were trying to get free sides on purpose? great to try and act like teenage girls are trying to scam a business when they were lied to. absolutely horrible. disgrace to lovely ocean city boardwalk. do not come.
FOOD POISONING!!!!! Paid $140 for 4 people and the portions were extremely small not to mention the rotten lettuce and food poisoning that came with it. Will never return to this disgusting and overpriced place.
After walking on the ocean beach in Jersey I was able to stop and make my own pizza.., Vegan. Which was consist of tomato, goat cheese. Broccoli basil and you have to have a little pineapple. Love it
Our eggplant parmigiana was tasty. Charging $3.50 for a bottle of no-name purified drinking water when we asked for tap water was highway robbery.
We had a great meal, the salad, chicken parm and pasta was good. Not getting iced tea refills was a bit cheesy and it should be available given the food prices.
I love this place. I am a breakfast food conissour especially in Ocean City. I've been to just about every single breakfast restaurant on the island. OC Cafe is by far the best breakfast spot on the boardwalk. I hadn't been there in a few years and was pleasenly surprised to find it was just as good as it was in the past. They also have plastic utensils that are individually prepackaged, hand sanitizer on the table to stay safe. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. I wanted to eat on the boardwalk but I had kids with me who wanted to get out of the sun. The portions were quite large considering how inexpensive the meals were. My only complaint would be a small glass of juice not included with the meal and the price of a small glass of juice was more than a carton you can buy in the supermarket. They also only take your drink order when you put in your food order which was annoying considering how long we were walking before sitting down to eat. My server Sabrina was a total boss and took care of our every need fast and efficiently. I would not only recommend I personally will be back again next year. 10/10
Very expensive for all food and drinks. $3.50 for a cup of water isn’t right. But Jason, the waiter, was awesome though! Very polite and professional.
So my wife and I went there with our baby son.. Super over priced for the amount of food! Waitress had an attitude from the moment we arrived. I got the mussels over pasta. Last night and today I have been VIOLENTLY ill .. When I called they were very insistent on it not being their food because they use frozen FDA approved food.. Meanwhile I rented a house for a week and probably won’t get to enjoy my sons first trip to the shore because I’m strapped to a toilet..
We got the salmon special. It was very bland and tasteless. It was also very overly priced. The green beans were mushy. The garlic bread was cold and dipped in oil. They do not serve water and bottled water costs $3.50. I will not recommend this place.
Fantastic food. Lunch menu is cafe / grill style with a good variety. Dinner menu is straight up Italian restaurant, and the food is delicious and consistent. Can it be pricey? Sure. You're on the boardwalk... If you are on the boardwalk and looking for a bargain, your compass is broken. If you want really good food, this is your spot. Tips are cash only, but you can pay for the meal with a card.
Food was good but that was about it. I felt nickel and dimed for everything. No soft drink refills so my family of 5 ordered water since we didnt want to pay $4 per soda. Our server never said they only offer bottled water and proceeded to being out 5 Aquafina bottles which I later found out were $3.50 each for small water bottles. No notice or mention of no tap water option and no warning just $17.50 for Aquafina. Had we known, we would have gotten sodas. Next they bring out bread for the table. About 8 small little slices of a mini italian loaf probably each slice was 2 inches long. When we asked for more they said that they would have to charge for the bread because only the first bread was part of the meal. Bear in mind I just ordered a $120 worth of food And they want to charge me more for 8 little slices of bread. To top it all off when I paid the check It said on the receipt that they only accept cash tips. I luckily had a $20 bill on me Otherwise I would not have been able to leave my server a tip. This is the 1st place I've ever seen that doesnt take a tip on a credit card. Overall, disappointing experience. Just because they're on the boardwalk doesn't mean they have to nickel and dime you for every little thing. If they're charging $20 to $30 per plate they shouldn't be treating customers this way.
We asked for water and they brought bottled water and charged us $3.50 per bottle, or $14 for water. It wasn’t listed on the menu and had we known the cost we would have ordered other less expensive drinks. It was really deceptive. And the restrooms were out of order.
I never write reviews, but this needs to be said. The hostess was rude since my boyfriend was hard of hearing and couldn't understand her well. The food I ordered a breakfast burrito was okay, but the home fries were burnt and tasted weird. I never had home fries that were messed up in Jersey and didn't even make a potato taste good at all, I only finished it to not be rude since the cook came out a few times. The only saving grace was the iced coffee I got and the wonderful waitress we had. It was also a bit pricey, but that's being on the boardwalk for ya. The plates were cute though.
The spaghetti was very watery the garlic bread was cold and there a/c was not working. The one thing that was good was there service and it was to expensive for how poor it was.
I don’t typically write reviews (good or bad) but I feel there was a lot wrong with the way this place was run that people need to be aware of this restaurant. There’s a lot of lying happening. When the server came to take our order, we ordered drinks. We were then told we could not order drinks, the whole order had to be taken with the food order (there was no wait for tables so I’m not sure why). We asked for tap water with our drink order, we were told no “the tap water is not good enough to serve.” We were then told that we had to buy bottled water $3.50 for a 16oz bottle. If this is the case, what is the food being cooked in? At the end when asked if there was a restroom since we were paying patrons, we were told they were out of order. Also a lie. There were two working bathrooms with “Out of Order” signs posted on the doors. I begged the waitress and she kindly allowed me to use one of the “broken” restrooms. However, I just don’t understand how a place that has paying customers can treat them so poorly. We will not be returning and I don’t recommend visiting here.
Very family friendly spot. Wait staff was helpful. They take card but tips are cash only.
never left a review in my life.. but this place was that bad. every comment left about shady business practices , terrible food and feeling bad for the staff is spot on..
The menu is mainly pasta. But on this day the special included Filet Mignon with cream sauce topped with shrimp, mash potatoes and grilled green beans, salad & bread included. The servers were friendly answered my questions and accommodating. The dinner at a first glance did not appear appetizing. However the filet was well done, seasoned and melted with each bite. The salad was small, bread was not toasted soaked in oil and garlic. Lastly for a restaurant was surprise they do not serve water. But they have bottle water for sale.
Outrageous prices for sub-par food. I thought someone poured a water bottle, which is the only way they will serve you water, into my pasta before serving it. The flavors were bland and boring. I always finish my food and never complain but this place is the exception. The only upside to this place was the pleasant wait staff.
