This place was absolutely adorable! The food was beyond our expectations… every plate that came out looked better than the next… We’re so glad that we stumbled upon this adorable gem. Highly recommend
My first time here and food and service was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was bigger then expected and was delicious. Also got the steak sandwich which was delicious as well. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. We were waited on by Michaela and she was great. Will definitely be back for more phenomenal food from Millside.
Go visit the new Millside! Food is delicious. Had a great breakfast. Stop in and give it a try. Loaded tator tots were wonderful! Just added 2 more photos. The food is fabulous!!
Good pit stop for breakfast. Coffee was good, egg sandwich yummy. Quiet spot to stop in and kill some time!
Delicious food. Large portions. Warm atmosphere. Good prices.
Millside Cafe is located in a charming historical little town called Lafayette. This cafe is perfect for any ocasion as meeting, family breakfast or lunch, or a date. The staff is friendly, quick, and offer wonderful customer service. The menu is carefully curated, offering great choices for breakfast or lunch. The portions are very generous, and the prices are more than fair. My choice was the Chicken Panini, a grilled chicken with tomatoe, letuce, avocado, and herbs mayo on a fresh panini bread. The sandwich comes with fresh baby spinach, cherry tomatoe, and mixed green salad. Add a cappuccino, and you have a healthy delicious lunch. For all the good things this place offers - hospitality and quality- I would like to rate it five stars and give credit where credit is due.
Excellent local food with even better service.
I've been wanting to try this place for years now since I moved out here almost 5 years ago. Finally the first visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Nice friendly greeeting on the way in from one of the waitress's clearing a table . Had my pick of seating pretty much so I sat in the corner to have a good view of the place. Not crowded as I must have just missed the early afternoon rush. Looked over the menu and ordered the tuna melt. It came out in 5 minutes. Absolutely delicious ! Yum ! pickle, chips, Jersey tomato on a piece of lettuce with fresh barley included. The atmosphere is sheer country but then again you are out in the country in a very old and charming town from yesteryear. Anyway its very relaxed, comfortable and clean. All the tables and chairs are old and different. Some smaller table's are old kitchen tables from back in the day. Its a kick your shoes off kind of place with that old world look and simple feel. Its a very cool old wooden building with upper and lower front porches right next to a babbling stream from back in the day when trains used to chug by just a couple hundred feet or so up the road delivering goods to what is now antique shops. All home made stuff here. The pies look fabulous. If you want that alamode no problem. This is my kind of place and its right in my back yard. Perfect. I defintely intend to go back on a more regular basis as I live near by. And lets not forget to mention very friendly and efficient service. That is always an important part of any dining experience. So have your next Sunday brunch at the Millside Cafe ! Bona Petite !
I love this place! Great coffee and food. Love starting my day with a cheesy potato bowl from here
food is always delicious and service is always great ! Lorenzo is great !
I say this with a heavy heart, what happened? This was our yearly Christmas stop to cut a tree down and have a nice home cooked meal with lots of Christmas charm, it was a total throw back vibe in keeping with the rest of the surrounding stores. That has vanished and the service and food is not good. I hope they can find their old roots and bring this place back to its original vibe and home-cooked menu. Bring back the old fashion Christmas decor!!!
What a find! Food and service was excellent. Decor is very pleasant warm and clean. Very well managed. Defiantly going back soon.
Third owner since we have been going there.
Very good fresh food.
Such a nice country cafe. Great people & yummy food.
BEWARE this is new owners. I’ve been going to this place for 18 years . NO Pilgrim sandwiches or the beautiful charm this cafe once had . Food was uncooked and staff was miserable . Place needs new cooks and wait staff . It’s a shame I always looked forward to going to this place . I moved away and it takes me about 2 hours to come here only to be greeted by grinches that don’t like their jobs . Close this place and rename it and please find cooks that cook grilled cheeses and french fries so they are not cold inside . Thanks next time I will pass
Growing up I remember coming here often for Mother’s Day and whatnot. Chairs were mismatched and it’s in this beautiful historic building. This whole place has lots of spirit, it’s amazing. A very simple place with simple but fine menu. My first time here since years ago and it’s still amazing. No more mismatched chairs though
Wonderful decor reminiscent of days gone by. The portions are more than generous and the food is delicious! The staff was warm and welcoming. A great place for breakfast or lunch.
Went here as we saw new reviews as it had been closed. There were 4 of us. The service was exceptional(thank you Michael for the specials recommendations). The avocado toast and the blueberry, ricotta and lemon pancakes were perfect. The meals were spot on and great ambience and customer service. We will be back.
