This place was okay. We ordered a cheesesteak, ceasar salad, and reuben sandwich. We ordered the reuben without sauce, but it came with it anyway. We asked to have it made again. The food runner gave us a hard time saying that was not on the slip. She later apologized as the slip said no sauce instead of no dressing. The attitude was not necessary. The cheesesteak did not fill the roll. Salad was good. I would not need to go back.

2 Hot Cakes cheese eggs with sausage was A1. But more the Hot Cakes light and delicious with a good outer crust to it. Will definitely go again my next go round in AC. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Gilchrist is our go to breakfast spot every time we’re in AC. We take our morning walk every visit from the Hard Rock down to Gilchrist for a delicious, affordable breakfast with the friendliest service every single time. They always make you feel like family and that will always keep us coming back!

We were greeted and seated immediately. How once the food arrived the server never came back to the table. The grilled chicken was a frozen and not fully cook no flavor. Had to get up to find the server to tell her that we didn't like the chicken. The manager and staff stood around the whole time talking to on another no attending to patrons

Where else can you get 2 eggs potatoes and 2 pieces of toast for $5.95?

Gilchrist is a busy breakfast place within the Tropicana, reported as one of the best breakfast places in AC. While you back get breakfast here, it's really nothing special. It's a slight up from Denny's. If you're looking for something exciting or different, there's a lot of other places you can go too, like Casa Taco that's in Tropicana as well.

First time here at this Gilchrist location. Always went to the one down the street on the water. Food came out quick, only a 10 min wait for a table for 6. Host greeted us like we were regulars and servers were pretty friendly. Only gripe was I was corrected when I ordered taylor ham instead of pork roll-lol!

We were a party of 6 and we got seated pretty quick. The staff was really nice. We had two children with us and they understood how we needed to have their food come quickly and really stepped up. The food was abundant and delicious!!

This overhyped breakfast spot is Mids at best. I grew up in the hood so I know what a poor man’s breakfast looks and tastes like. Firstly the coffee was straight up dish cleaner and chemicals. Eggs had shells in it for protein and crunch effect, pancakes are a hair thin and mostly just oil in the batter blend. Bacon was really good but half the slices were soggy. In my opinion this place tripped us out because of the good reviews then actually seeing how much of a horror show it is. The staff and all are very nice and friendly, probably the best thing about this place however it does not make up for the lack of quality in their food & coffee which is the main point of the establishment.
