Hadn’t been here in a while. Previously very nice place to grab a coffee or bite. Won’t be coming back. The young lady who took my order was sour and scowling. I ordered a scone & coffee. Was told the scones which I viewed in their display case covered in Saran Wrap “are put away now” - I said oh I saw them in the display case. More sour look though rang My order up with scone. The coffee maker a different young lady was very pleasant when she gave me my order. My scone was in big styrofoam container coffee in disposable cup. I sat for a few minutes eating my scone sipping coffee when the sour young lady started very loudly banging and exaggeratedly moving chairs closer to the tables without customers So I had made the unknowing mistake of arriving right before closing which I guess in Walden’s current Biz model means just be rude so people will leave ASAP. Lots of missed courteous opportunities. Like when I ordered letting me know they would b closing in 15-20min so my food would be served as takeout so I wouldn’t feel rushed when I ate it - or… we are closing in 15 minutes so we can only offer drinks - if your open till 3pm then serve people courteously till 3pm and inform them nicely at the register with a comment - can I get you anything else as we are serving only till 3 and will b closing the register. Like I said I hadn’t been here for a while & was treated very well a few years ago- supported Walden’s even way back when they opened a store in VC was a friend of one of the family members. I won’t b back & can’t recommend to others.

Best breakfast in town. Their waffle is the best I’ve ever had. The fried potatoes are spiced with paprika, salt and pepper and browned perfectly for a bit of crunch. My wife loves the avocado toast. The tuna melt is a great lunch item.
Their breakfast burritos are amazing! I always enjoy the Corrito (vegan burrito). They have ample options available for all tastes.
Nice place to meet, study read or just have coffee
Took them 10 min to get me a small drip coffee which used to be self serve. This used to be a fun spot. Quality is there but the heart is gone.

Unusual breakfast menu, lacking the standard American breakfast (eggs - bacon/sausage - potatoes). They do have potatoes, but they look and taste toxic.
Decent coffee but not so friendly employees. I get everyone has an off day but don’t take it out on your customers. They forgot about my oatmeal and I waited a good 25 minutes for it. Everyone who ordered after me received their order before me. When I finally received it, the oatmeal was halfway full and that was not worth $9.99. The girl working the kitchen was very rude and rolled her eyes a lot. Oh well.
Lovely, healthy menu, with very good gluten free bread available and so happy to find jasmine tea! Very enjoyable 🥰
Today, I went in and ordered to-go. I'm waiting patiently, and I hear everyone's name being called except mine. I'm waiting by where you pick up the to-go orders, and theres a bag just sitting on the counter. I am wondering if this bag is mine or not, but there is a receipt next to the bag that says "ted". Turns out, the food was actually mine, but just sitting there. No long lines, so i'm not understanding what the hold up was. I asked the young woman why no one ever said my name for my order and she says "we called you multiple times". However as stated, I'm literally waiting right in front of my food. As i'm leaving I then here the woman whom told me she called my name multiple times talks to an older woman (she looks 60 and wears glasses ) about how I had a problem and why I was upset. Lack of professionalism at this establishment. It's like they don't appreciate their jobs. And I tipped before all of this happened.

This place is amazing. Great food. The staff depending on who is working does a good job. You can expect high quality taste food. They do charge more than other places for what you get but it’s good.
Wonderful experience. Great food! I love supporting independent local businesses.
Food and coffee here are very good and decently priced too! They give you a lot but provide take out boxes in case you need to bring your leftovers home.
Really yummy- Great atmosphere
Just tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and it has gained a top spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. Phenomenal (this is an understatement) food and and even better crew makes it the most cozy, friendly place.
We had the lox bagel, avocado toast, steak and eggs, and coffee. The food was pretty good, no serious complaints there. However, for the price I would like to see some real cutlery used rather than seeing more wasteful disposable plasticware garbage and paper plates dumped on customers as a cost cutting measure. The staff was friendly but the cheap feel of the atmosphere for the cost per plate left a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be back.
We always look forward to Walden’s. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Pleasant outdoor seating out back. And the nitro cold brew is excellent.
Nice experience. Great food. I was in Reno and a local recommended Waldens. Nice coffee shop with food. Indoor and outdoor seating.I had the Italuan beef. Came with a great side salad. Coffee was reasonably priced and free refills.
