I was excited to try this place, but didn't love the vibe, so we left. We waited in line for a minute or two and the guy behind the corner didn't acknowledge us at all. He was chatting with another dude at the counter. Then, two other people came in and they didn't get acknowledged either. As someone who was in customer service for years, come on guy, an "I'll be right with you" is the bare minimum I'm looking for. Maybe next time. :( Update: I went back maybe 3 weeks later and finally got to try them out. It was another busy weekend, but the barista immediately let me know she'd be right with me. I ordered a latte with oat milk and it was delicious, nice and smooth without tasting too much milk, it was perfect. So glad I came back! Everyone has off days and this place has a list of interesting coffees to test out. ❤️

So glad to have found this cute little cafe! Their coffee and pastries were so good. The barista was super friendly and I will definitely go back.

I enjoy the sweater weather latte or just a black coffee mostly.. and the service is usually hit or miss here. On my last visit, the barista looked overwhelmed and stressed out. My $8 latte was not made with love and had no flavor. Pretty disappointing. I felt rushed out. That’s not how you should make coffee for a customer who came to your spot instead of making coffee at home :(

Never got a chance to try anything. Card reader appeared to be down when I went in but staff on hand didn't do much of anything to try and salvage the experience for me. It was my first and probably last time here. I even offered to pay cash. Not much else I can do to try and give them my business...

I wish they had a coffee spot like this in Phx. Great atmosphere but wish they played music. Coffee is exactly how it should be made. I've been here every morning since I landed in Reno.

My spouse refers to Northwest Reno as a coffee desert, and she's right. There really aren't a lot of options up in this direction. Old World is a HUGE get for the northwest...centrally located for folks in the Kings Row/7th Ave corridor, as well as Mae Anne, Robb Dr, and even Somersett. If you've never had Old World downtown or at their Carson location, you're in for a treat. They roast their own coffee, on site, so you're drinking local. They have a great menu, with the basics (brewed coffee, espresso drinks), specials that change occasionally (I'm currently in love with the mocha drogata), teas, and single-origin pour-over. In other words, something for every palate. Fast, friendly service means you can take your drinks to go. But the space is really cool, too - a bit more airy / open than the downtown location, with high ceilings and a couple of bars...and, of course, the roaster out in the open, where (if you're lucky) you can watch the beans go from green to delicious. Both times I've been there, I've seen folks hanging out, working or socializing. There are some other respectable coffee shops in town, but Old World remains the gold standard, in terms of quality, service, and vibes. This new location is a major addition to the northwest. Highly recommended.

Delicious tea, and even more delicious prices. First time going, and while the line was 5 long, the wait was worth it. I'll definitely be going back for more.

Um. Yes please. Old World makes it's debut in Northwest Reno! This isn't your basic neighborhood coffeeshop with bitter over roasted beans. This is a high quality coffeeshop with the quality coffee and excellent service. We stopped in during their grand opening and I had a cappuccino. I have not had a cappuccino with so many subtle coffee flavors in soooooo long. The space is smaller than the midtown location but still beautiful and with more outside space. With the roaster in the corner it makes it so cool looking. I look forward to many coffee dates up here.
