It's surprisingly very good for a little place on the corner. They hadn't got their fruit delivery. Wanted a smoothly to go. ☹️

A little local diner with a home made vibe. Spanish omlet was surprisingly good and substituting cottage cheese for the home fries was a nice touch. Solid place to stop if you are passing through.

Loved breakfast here. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Portions were nice. Small place but we got in just fine.

If you are looking for delicious homely food in Beaty, I recommend that you stop at Gema's Cafe. My three friends and I had very good lunch over there. The staff there were amazingly friendly.

We managed to snag the last table at this little shack both times we were here. The food is so good we were licking our plates and wishing for more. It’s like eating at your friend’s Mexican grandmother’s house.

Small breakfast place for a quick stop. Had the ranchero skillet. Sauce was good but potatoes need to be much crispier. Husband agreed, he had the egg enchiladas which he thought were good minus the potatoes.

Absolutely terrible. Rude, sloppy and inattentive "waiter." Woman cooking was nice enough but screwed up 2 of our 4 orders and forgot the side on the other 2. Very sad and disappointing.

Absolutely the best and most delicious food we have had on our trip out west. Owner was an amazing chef and the food was spectacular. We ate lunch and actually got 2 dinners to go, the food was that delicious!

As mentioned before this is a small 5 table restaurant that serves homemade Mexican inspired breakfast / lunch / dinner. The restaurant itself is open until 1pm or so then business shifts to the Taco truck outside. Lunch and dinner options on the menu inside are available any time during the day. The staff is accommodating as far as substitutions, within reason. I'm not personally an egg eater, but I have been able to order food without eggs and get a side of fruit in my experience here at Gema's. The enchilada sauce in house is homemade and very delicious. I recently ordered the Chicken Diablo which is bites of chicken, onion, and green bell pepper in a spicy white cream sauce. It's served with rice and beans and is one of the best dishes on the menu. The buritos out in the Taco Truck are very good too, and cone with your choice of meat, rice, abd beans, and come with a small cup of salsa. They are reasonably priced at 8.99$ at the time of this review. The Taco Bowls are also a gem of an item, with your choice of meat, rice, beans, Lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. I also tried the asada fries once and they were fun. Bring a fork and some napkins for that one. Overall Gema's is a great little spot in Beatty and makes some really good food, and serves the community with some variety! Highly recommended.

Showed up for my wife's birthday at 5:15pm on a Sat night and, after sitting looking at the menus over 5 minutes, we were told they were closing early and wouldn't serve us. States open until 7pm. Very disappointing as where my wife wanted to eat for her birthday while on vacation.

Stumbled upon this place on a road trip and what a pleasant surprise! Actual decent espresso coffee, good fresh food, pleasant service. The outside look of this place may be deceiving but it’s totally worth a pit stop.
