If you're looking for a quick bite to eat near the visitor center, there's a small, no-frills roadside cafe with a gift shop nearby. While the cafe may not be fancy, it offers a great view and is a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat. The gift shop, however, may be a bit disorganized - during our visit, products were not properly shelved or organized, giving the impression of a somewhat forgotten cafe lost in the middle of the desert. That being said, the shop still offers some great products, so it may be worth checking out if you have some time to spare.
Today, we had soup and salad. Fantastic soup. We met Charles, who made the roasted vegetable and hamburger soup...sooo good! Great guy too! Dawn was our server, and she was lovely!
Delicious food! A nice treat to have such a delicious meal in the middle of nowhere.
The food was great! Lots of fresh and homemade ingredients! And the people are awesome! I was very impressed by the quality and service :) highly recommend!
The coffee was disgusting and instead of the bagel I ordered, I was given a danish. Don't forget that there are 2 shops, and you have to walk back outside the building to go between them. Overall, the services and people working at this park are awful and it's definitely worth skipping.
Great place to eat in the park!Lovely ladies and good portions.Nice view of the basin below
This place has rooted in my memories. It says something when I write review months after my visited. We stayed in May on the gorgeous Upper Lehman campground nearby. The nights were quite cold and even frosty, as we slept in a simple tent. The Great Basin Cafe offered a cosy place to warm up with a over-delicious hot chocolate (doubtlessly the best I ever had in my life) and mouthwatering meals for an affordable price. The staff was super kind and were being themselves. We've visited 8 national parks in the west and so also around 8 park cafes, but this place stands out for us, by far. Not forget to mention the beautiful view on the Great Basin desert.
Food was good and convenient! Chilli dog was awesome!
Amazing staff, good food, and decent prices. You'd think the food would be frozen concoctions since this place isn't near any large area, but the food is really well made and not from frozen bags! The homemade bread is great, breakfast burritos are good, and fries are awesome. Definitely recommend!
Best food I’ve had in a National Park. The staff did great considering they were understaffed on a busy holiday weekend.
DO NOT go here if you have a bigger group, or at least DO NOT let them group your ticket, unless, of course, you want to wait over an hour for your food. Absolutely absurd amount of time to process food orders especially when others were coming and going before they decided to start preparing our food. Food was decent, not great. Seasoned fries were not good. Order the regulate fries instead. Service was unapologetic. The ice cream looked good, but I wasn’t about to get back in the line to order anything else after the long wait for food. Find somewhere else.
Cool gift shop with lots of park-related items. Only had the ice cream from the cafe but it was great.
The quality of food far exceeds what you would expect from a park Cafe. Very nicely done! And friendly service.
Great hard. Root beer float.
인근에 음식물을 파는곳이 없기에 응급실 같은 편의 시설입니다.
Food was good enough, service was meh, milkshakes were great! Love that it's a good little spot to fill up before a tour of the cave. Beer, coffee, food, and some souvenirs.
They have Dole whip! Delicious treat after a tough hike. And only $2.50 per person
Decide to grab a lunch. I had the Chicken Bacon Slaw wrap and homemade chips. Delicious, DELICIOUS! Clean, friendly.
The Cafe is located next to the Lahman Cave Visitor Center. They have had souvenirs, they had muffins, pastry and frozen precooked food such as hotdogs, chicken fingers and other quick heat up foods. You can come with almost no food if you don't want to cook that much and eat here. But it's a bit expensive.
Great little shop!
