Met family for lunch and everyone came away very impressed. Nice variety options and even worked with us to get a special option for a choosy child. My burger and fries were delicious. And the pies were outstanding! Will make the drive again for sure.
My dad and I stopped here after dropping off my fur kids for boarding during our vacation. This place was AMAZING, our server was wonderful, and the food was to die for. The pies were spectacular, this is dining local and a great establishment, I will be back.
Go a little out of your way to Newman Grove and check this place out. I think you won't disappointed. Really nice selection of diner-style fare. But if you haven't tried the pie, you've missed the best part! (Who says dessert isn't the most important part of the meal anyway?)

Great food and the blueberry crumble pie is amazing. We will definitely visit again. Next time I'm sure we'll take a pie or 2 to go.

The food was so good! Curly fries that are fresh cut. And. The. Pie. So amazing. We grabbed a peach crumb and chocolate cream whole pie to take home, and shared a slice of the chocolate cream there. It was absolutely amazing. This was worth the drive from Omaha!
If there was 10,000 stars to rate City Cafe, I'd give them that! Staff is amazing and super nice! Food was fantastic and they were so willing to edit items to suit our picky eaters! The pie is to DIE for! We live in Papillion and we're on our way to Grand Island but took the extra hour of travel to stop here for lunch! So so worth it! Highly recommend!

Go for the pie, the tollhouse cookie pie was amazing, blue berry crumble with ice cream was really good as well. Unfortunately, the waitress was having to deal with something that wasn't her fault, so only 3 stars for now. However, it is a good excuse to come back sometime and try again.
We went here after church with a group of 25 people. The food was great, staff was exceptional, desserts were delicious, and the price was completely reasonable. Would highly recommend city cafe!
