I have always liked this little cafe. However, I was so disappointed they no longer serve their chicken dinner. I went there specifically for the chicken because it was one of the best fried chicken in town, but no longer in the menu. I was so sad.

Didn’t know what to expect but it was better than IHOP! The service was amazing and the pancakes were PERFECT!

Good breakfast! Their food is good priced and good quality. Small inside so it’s usually pretty busy

When a place is that full all the time You know it's going to be good. Other special of the day was chicken fried steak over hash browns and two eggs service with sausage gravy and toast ordered a side of bacon 🤤🥓 and their coffee was really good love this little cafe 😋!

It was super busy and I thought it would take forever to be seated, waited on and out food to arrive. It wasn't that way at all!!! Service was great and food was fantastic!

Good food and plenty of options if you have dietaryrestrictions. Parking is limited and tough finding street parking at times. Just a heads up, they won't seat you till your whole group is present, even if it's just 2 of you. It's not a problem for me, it's just good to know.

We have tried almost every breakfast restaurant in Lincoln (North to South Lincoln) -- fun time researching and evaluating each one. Penelope's Cafe is the VERY BEST. Pancakes are great and no after taste of baking soda, omelets ate made with fluffy love and real fresh eggs then their Skillet specials are delightful and delicious. Go now and enjoy the hometown feel of a great locally owned restaurant - we will see you there!

Classic diner vibe. The coffee is hot, the food is good old American griddle classics. The funnel cake French toast was interesting and delicious.

We have been here a few times for breakfast. Excellent spot. They also have gluten-free bread/toast for anyone who has gluten sensitivity. Excellent customer service.

This is an excellent cafe. I typically go here for breakfast. The parking is my only critique, but that's the consequence for having a successful small business in a tight space! Great food, great service. I highly recommend.

I heard such good things about this place. I have been wanting to go for two years and finally did. I have to say I was expecting more out of the food based off what people had said. It was just your basic diner food. I just got a sausage and cheese and the sausage didn't have a lot of flavor and it wasn't very cheesy. One tiny jelly for four pieces of toast. My wife said that sausage and biscuits was good. Good food but not spectacular. Had eaten at The Engine House the week before and it was better.
