A Livingston treasure. You can feel the “owner operator” pride and vibe as soon as you walk in. Great location, decor, staff and customers! Everything on the menu is good, but you’ll regret if you visit and don’t try the Maple Cloud at least once.

Just tried Tru North for the first time and was very disappointed with the blacked meat loaf sandwich, which i gave to my dog after 1 bite. Plus I was surprised that they use a styrofoam to go box, which is the worst thing to eat warm food out of. I guess I shouldn't be surprised after living in Livingston for over 20 years, why can't we ever get a restaurant with good food.

I cannot describe to you, how wonderful this place is! Worth every cent, and definitely the best tasting food you've ever had. The Chai Tea Latte tastes like Christmas in a cup, it is so stinking delicious you won't want to stop drinking it! The Grilled Pound Cake with Apples is the best dessert style food you'll ever put in your mouth. The atmosphere is small and quaint, very witty menu and signs throughout the store. Coming here in the winter and staring out the window at those beautiful snowflakes and flurries twirling will make you feel like you're in a snow globe and like you died and went to heaven. If you do nothing else in Livingston Montana, do this! It is 100% worth it! I almost offered a $100 to the owner for the recipe of the Chai Latte.

Incredible food - truly some of the best we’ve ever had. And after hours of driving across the country - we couldn’t be more grateful. Ambiance was fabulous + the owner was delightful.

If the place is crowded expect to wait some time for your food. Also expect the wait to be worth it. The price point is a bit high, but comparable to other places in town.

Lovely little breakfast place I. The heart of Livingston. They had some delicious drink concoctions, fun food menu with some wacky descriptions. We went with the Tru Sammy that had egg, sausage, cheese and compote on a buttery English muffin and we also had the traditional breakfast burrito. It was a filling and enjoyable brunch.

Real neat little coffee shop with an amazingly friendly and eccentric owner James. The food and drinks were to die for, the atmosphere cozy, and home to an eclectic collection of dining wear and cutlery anyone can and should appreciate. Will be returning as soon as possible!

Amazing energy here!! The owner is extraordinary with his hospitality- took the time to go over item on the menu in detail on his creations. The 'Harvest Moon' was incredible especially witht the obligation to play Neil Young while being served! Thanks!

From the drinks to the food, True North is the best cafe I’ve been to in all of the places I’ve been. James has made it a one-of-a-kind place from his personality to the books on the wall that made me feel at home. (And the colones are to die for, but upside down logo is my fav). Even though our age gap, you made it really easy to find you a nice guy. You have my thanks for the hospitality during my time here in Montana. -Jess
