Walked in and atmosphere was pretty relaxing, made my order with a young lady and she seemed kind at first. After making my order she went over to the male employee and started talking about me with him and laughing. I felt very uncomfortable there waiting for my drink. I wasn't dressed like I had a lot of money and this was my first time there or to any black dog coffee. I felt like I was treated different because I didn't fit the narrative of how you should look. Paid 9.20 for a drink that had no flavor. Just tasted like black coffee. Will not be back. It is a very clean place though.

This is by far the best coffee shop in Billings. In fact, all three locations are unique and excellent.

Good, pleasant personal attention even though service could be quicker. I look at the food items as they do appear appetizing, but the prices are way higher than they should be. I therefore visit only for the coffee, unfortunately.

I worried after Black Dog took over Harper & Madison but needn't have. The new folks are doing fine. Super friendly staff. They replaced the second hand store furniture with new stuff but it is, admittedly, more efficient. Great neighborhood hangout.

Latte tasty but not hot enough. Croissant tasty but not proofed & baked long enough.

The perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Also they have the best Cortado in town.

The cutest coffee shop in town! This is a great place to stop in and get a great cup of specialty coffee, a delicious slice of breakfast quiche, or even a cake. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I love coming to this location to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and get some work done! Be sure to try a house latte paired with one of their chocolate croissants. Yum!

This coffee shop and bakery is one of my favorite spots for a breakfast. It is very quaint and food is great! I would recommend it, but then everyone may show up there!

A tradition turns legend! So sad to see Haper & Madison close. Utterly delighted to patron each of its iterations over the years. Thank you, Joanie & Crew.

Can I give Harper & Madison more than 5 stars? We found this hidden gem while visiting Billings during our vacation. Everything that we ordered was amazing! The savory croissant, the savory breakfast sandwich, lemon bar (to die for!!!!!, highly recommend) and chai latte with espresso, were fabulous. I would recommend this place to anyone with taste buds!!!

I recently contracted Joanie at Harper & Madison to do my 3 tier wedding cake and I cannot believe how delicious it was! She has the best buttercream frosting and a delightful coconut filling that made it really special. Not only was it the best wedding cake I've ever tasted, but it was equally beautiful on the outside! She is meticulous and super friendly, I would highly recommend!

Harper and Madison has always been my favorite breakfast in Billings. Very pleasant and comfortable interior. Open floor plan with a view to the kitchen. Their caramel rolls are absolutely to die for. Their staff is always professional and kind.I do wish that they still had their breakfast sandwich on a biscuit available on the menu but I'm sure it'll come back eventually.

Great patisserie operating in a historic building in an older neighborhood. Our party of four tried coconut cake, bread pudding, creme horn, caramel roll, almond croissant and blackberry danish. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended
