I’ve been coming here since it was known as Gelateria Del Leone. This place and Clementines are the two best places for a frozen sweet treat in the whole city. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. My personal favorite flavor is the dairy version of London Fog, not to be confused with the oat milk version. The dairy variety is far superb. It’s inspired by the tea drink of the same name which is an Earl Grey latte. The bergamot note pairs absolutely splendiferously with the creamy gelato.
One of my top places on Grand -- and in the city. The gelato is luscious, the baked good sublime, and the coffee (my coffee-drinking friends tell me) is primo too. The decor is so very warm and inviting and the service is good. Draws a hip crowd in the South Grand tradition.
Great atmosphere, outdoor area awesome, breakfast sandwich was really good. Had to wait a little while for our order, but all was excellent.
Fantastic pastries and a great place to read and talk for a few hours
It has been NEVER that I've had such a perfectly cooked egg !! This isn't your ordinary good breakfast sandwich, it is EXTRAordinary! You can truly experience how an egg should be prepared at Gelateria Coffee Co. It was creamy and soft ( NOT under done) and just oh so right...and the pairing of the egg with the cheese, brioche and the Italian pepper sauce was... perfection!! I know it was breakfast and that egg sandwich was just plain delish...but I really wanted gelato too! (I'm one of those people who loves ice cream for breakfast!) It was a wonderfully delicious delight that I could order an affogoto. I requested their peanut butter chocolate gelato and with their delicious fresh roasted espresso...I cannot begin to tell you how special this really is! The creamy, but not too sweet gelato enhanced the espresso...or maybe it was the other way around! All I can tell you is that this is really the stuff that dreams are made of!! While there are a lot of good places to eat in The Lou, there are very few truly special eateries... Gelateria Coffee Co is absolutely on that list!
This is my go-to coffee and tea fix! It’s conveniently located on south grand, has delicious seasonal lattes, yummy pastries and to die for gelato. The vibes are always immaculate and the employees all seem to enjoy their job + are super friendly and accommodating. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio with a quaint fountain and lots of seating. There’s also a ton of space inside both on the main and upper levels. A great place to sit and stay for a while or stop in for a quick bite while shopping around!
Their coffee and gelato are incredible. Great staff and atmosphere. My only critique is that they used to have vegan (non-gelato) options and they don’t seem to anymore which keeps me from going more often.
Best coffee house in the city of St Louis. They have 3 seating areas - beautiful patio with fountain and plants galore, main floor with background music and windows that swing open for letting the fresh air in and an upstairs study area that has with 4 different rooms that used to be a house- 2 fireplaces, antique pocket doors, detailed wood decor, and windows to bring in natural light. There's also built in book cases to leave or take a book, with games to play while visiting. Their coffee, food and ice cream are house made with love with thoughtful-healthy ingredients. So good! They have a reward program too. The owner is a gem and the workers always brighten my day- love this place! It's a cornerstone of the community- serves many people and purposes. More than a coffee house!
Delicious coffee and mushroom pizzette! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a separate corner to get some gelato on days when it’s too late to get coffee.
My go to place to grab a cup of coffee in the AM. The new additions to the food menu are delicious, hope to see it expand even more.
Coffee is extremely bitter. Tried three variations. Marcchiato, expresso, and cappuccino all felt loose and tasted extremely acrid. Additional, very little creme in the espresso. Lack of creme and acrid coffee indicate excessively hot brewing instead of pressured brewing. Therefore, either the espresso machine is poor quality (unlikely) or the Bautistas are not well versed on how to make a traditional coffee.
I haven’t been to this place in months, but it crossed my mind and I thought I should take the time to leave it a review. This was the first coffee place I visited in St Louis when I moved here three years ago. And I immediately loved it. Not only do they make a good latte but they have a variety of gelato flavors. I think the best thing is the atmosphere though. They have a good selection of seating to choose from including an outdoor patio which is my favorite.
The staff is really friendly and they make great pour-overs! It’s an excellent place to work or read, and when you’re done you can walk down the road to Tower Grove park for some scenery. It’s also one of the best gelato shops in town, so make sure you give it a try!
first all the good: excellent coffee, pastries, and general vibe. chill enough to work or read, and a good selection of music going in the background. i would frequent this place every day if i lived closer (though seating does seem to fill up). the gelato left something to be desired. good enough flavor but the texture was off from your traditional gelato. also they filled the cup so much for 2 scoops that it was dropping on the table as i tried to eat. no one wants table gelato.
Staff is friendly, ambiance is cool and eclectic feeling. There is an outdoor seating side and an upstairs where there is space for lots of seating, plugs, and work space. Drinks are good and gelato is tasty!
Great coffee with a warm, cozy atmosphere. Lovely place!!!
Friendly. Delicious lattes. Breakfast sandwich specials are yummy! Nice and quiet in the morning and you can get a table easily weekday mornings
My favorite place for a London Fog! The desserts are always tasty too! Pictured is the pistachio bun. ❤️
Good gelato, and they have a wide variety of authentic looseleaf teas from the local shop Teatopia, even less common types like Puh-Erh
One of my favorite spots in the whole city! Their coffee and gelato are delicious but I really go there for the atmosphere. In fact me and my fiancee like it so much we did some of our engagement photos here, and actually reached out about hosting a wedding here (it didn't work out, but we like it THAT much)
