went twice so far, ordered food and drink both times. overall everything has been good
This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was extremely disappointed. I understand if they were short on menu items, but I came in at 9:30 looking for breakfast and they were basically out of everything I wanted. When I decided to just get a smoothie instead, they ended up forgetting that I ordered it and I had to wait until they asked me if I was waiting on something to remind them I ordered a smoothie. Really unfortunate first time visit, and the staff were really nonchalant about missing almost half the breakfast menu so I will not be returning.
It's really a wonderful experience. I would however suggest to Mr. Lyle Foster, that he sit his male staff down and redirect them on customer service etiquette. Great staff, great service, but the last few times, the 2 guys are really acting like they have a major chip on their shoulders. It's not pleasant for us already carrying a a lot for others these Holidays, and are in need of a reset, a break and good vibes, hence why we go to Big Mommas. I am not the only one who says this, literally 3 other merchants on Commercial street told me when I asked them what they thought of Big Momma's. Hope this gets through! We all go through things, but being in customer service and acting like a seasoned professional is part of the performance, if you expect to be taken care of then you take care of others. Have Happy Holidays. You never know what your customers are going through and how far the value of basic kindness in good customer service can go.

If you haven't been here to eat you are really and truly missing out! The menu has so many options from vegan, to us meat lovers. Smoothies, Itlian sodas.The breads are made fresh every day. All of the salads are amazing and you can get them to create any option. Please remember to tip them well!!! Many of them that work there are in school paying there own way!!!
Exceptional scones. Tasted more like a pie it was so moist and fruity. Coffee was tasty too. Cute location and nice selection of special lattes.
Great coffee! I have been coming here for years. It has been neat to watch this place grow. They do seem to be out of ingredients of varying types but I think it’s just locally sourced. I like the tall dark and handsome! They also have a killer English tea!

The Drury Lane is the one sandwich I always come back to here. The chicken salad here is phenomenal. I would say Big Momma’s has the best chicken salad in town. You get a nice crunch from the bits of celery. It’s seasoned perfectly without having a strong mayonnaise flavor. The bread is paired well with the chicken salad. It’s very pillowy and soft to chew. This is definitely my go-to sandwich here.
Want a great meal at a reasonable price with friendly service? Go to Big Mama's Cafe. Been there a half dozen times and never been disappointed. Try the soup!
I love this place! Its a great spot to sit and chat with your friends. The food is so yummy and the drinks amazing!
This has been one of my go to coffee places in Springfield. I've hosted several things here in their back seating section and have witnessed many open mic nights as well. The staff always provided me with great service and I have recommended them to many of my friends.
Found this shop when I brought my daughter down to S'field to get her hair done. Coffee is perfect, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Trivia for a discount on your drink? Absolutely...Had the Daybreaker Sandwich today for breakfast...filling, delicious, and priced right. This is now MY tradition on C-Street in Springfield....
Ten star service and they always have a smile. The breakfast and lunch options are absolutely bananas, and they sell them too!! Coffee, teas, smothies, espresso shots, you name it!! Great place for business meetings and networking groups too! My upcoming business meeting is being held there because they sell great food too! Laid back environment with friendly, helpful, tenured staff!! They support local artists, all over the walls of their beautiful historic building. Love them! Stop by and fall in love!! A staple of Commercial street. Great spot for lunch what with the sandwich menu, but their breakfast burritos are super good. I would recommend one if they aren't out!

Great place to eat and get some work done! I am currently going on the Springfield Coffee Adventure and needed a place to focus. I live near C-street, so decided to try Big Momma's out. The sandwich was fantastic, the coffee nice and fresh, and the location perfect. You need to check them out, even if you just want to see the retro interior!
