This was our first time eating here. We left another restaurant starving after waiting 10 mins without any acknowledgement. They were very friendly and clean and fast. I had breakfast with the biggest pancake I'd ever seen, and extra bacon! My boyfriend had a chicken sandwich and fries. They even gave us some meat scraps for our dog in the car! Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back.

I had dinner there last night, country fried steak, mashed potatoes. I had lunch there today, cheesburger fries. Friendly staff, quick service, good food. I recommend this place as a local, good eats.

I've eaten at Red Barn Cafe twice for dinner, except I had breakfast both times because it is served all day! Portions are large, so I did leave satisfied with a $10 meal. They gave me more bacon than the menu stated... too much bacon? ( Said NO ONE ever!) They serve Pepsi products and have diet Dr. Pepper that my wife loves. Service was great and our waitress was friendly. Dinner food that our neighbors had all looked appealing, though I can't vouch for taste. Yes, I would love to eat here again.

We go to Mt Vernon every couple of weeks, and we always try to eat at the Red Barn Cafe. We have been there numerous times, and have never had a complaint. I highly recommend the breaded chicken sandwich and fried okra!

Good food and the wait staff are super nice but like most places now days the staff is too thin to cover the folks coming in to eat. I feel sorry for the waitresses.

This was our first time stopping in and we wasn't disappointed! Great food, friendly staff. As soon as we walked in the waitress was so helpful bringing a highchair, a coloring page and some crayons for my granddaughter.

Food is always pretty good, waitresses are great, friendly and sweet. It's always clean including bathrooms. My only complaint really is that $5 for fries, separate from your already $10-$13 sandwich is kinda crazy. I overheard two other tables today complaining about the price of the fries. All in all though, they've really stepped it up!

It is a small town country Cafe. The food was good. My husband and I both got the original skillet (it has ham, onions, peppers, hasbrowns, and eggs your way). It had great flavor and cooked perfectly. My daughter had the Biscuits and gravy and she enjoyed them. Which is great because she is a picky eater. Everything was a good sized portion as well.

The ham was good but brunch for 2 kids(breakfast kids meals) and two adults (catfish sandwich and country ham) was 65 dollars plus tip. Most of the food was unmodified bulk food service food, which for the 40 min wait plus egregious price for quality is a hard pass for me.

Great waitress service (thanks Addie M) and the food was delicious hometown comfort food. Only thing we would change is the blinding orange walls.

Best chicken livers and fried okra I've had since Granny was alive. Hubby had catfish and sweet potato fries. Best he's had in ages. Friendly people and they have Truck Parking in the back!

An old small town cafe. Service was great today, but not always, same with food, not always because of a multitude of reasons. But its usually a safe bet you'd get good food and a smile from the server!

When the only thing you order is a Philly cheese steak sandwich with no sides and it comes to the table cold. I have a dislike for microwaves so I ate it cold, the flavor was good.
