Wow, talk about a hidden gem for an out-of-towner to stumble upon! Drove by in the middle of the night hunting for my campground at Enid Lake. I wasn't sure the place was even still in business, as it looked quite rustic in the dark of night. Was thrilled to find it open the next morning on my way to Batesville for an event, and had the single best breakfast of my weeklong road trip. Tried to go back the next morning but it was closed for mothers day. To whoever's mom is working at this place, I hope you had a great day off. Thank you so much for your wonderful food and hospitality.

Fun pictures to be taken in the giant size rocking chair posed out front of country store. The only issue with this store is the lack a visibility to on coming traffic when the parking area is overflowing with trucks

My friend with health issues was stranded at a rest stop and these folks went above and beyond to get him a meal. Thank you for taking care of our friend.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at, but tonight was by far the best. Long story short, we had bad weather come through today and had no idea they were closing early. My husband called to inform even though they were closed-THEY would still be making our order for take out. You would not receive this service at a chain restaurant. If you are ever in the area, please go visit these sweet down home southern people. You truly get treated like family here.

Employees were nice. Burgers were tasteless. No seasoning at all. Tasted strange. Fries were ok. Over $18 for 2 regular burgers & 2 fries?!? Never again!! **Last night at somebody's house..they ordered a pizza.. wrong sz..crust was burned... cheese too! It would probably have been good if it wasn't burned!!

OMG, I have been doing some work in another town not real far away and someone told me about this place and the quality food they served. He was definitely correct in everything he told me. It is Sunday morning and I decided this would be an excellent day to go try it out. The breakfast was like what Grandma would have fixed me when I was much younger than the 63 years that I am now. The Country Ham, 3 nice cooked to order eggs, grits and toast. The staff in this place add that special touch of caring about what they are doing. OMG, don’t pass this place by anytime You are traveling I-55 between Grenada and Batesville, Mississippi.

Like so many places now they were shorthanded so a bit of patience is needed. Our waitress was trying to take orders, serve, run register and manage the plate lunch hot table! All with a smile! All in all we had a good lunch. I couldn't complain while watching her work so hard.

We moved to the area a little over 3 months ago and Pope Country Cafe has become one of our favorite places. We just stopped by for a late lunch and as always everything was great. Mike had a delicious burger and I had a shrimp plate that rivaled most. We love you Pope Cafe! I'm editing this post to update. We've been here 5 years now and still love Pope Cafe!

Went there after picking up my son from school, The waitress was sitting down in a chair talking to a friend while we sat ourselves. Over heard she over charged a customer for banana pudding and than laughed about it like it was funny. I ordered a country fried steak, fries, steamed broccoli and so did my son. The food was not very good and I paid 28 for us both. pope café used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Now its over priced, not friendly service, and poor quaintly of food. I hope it gets better.
