Fun space for food im Hattiesburg, some plant based options, some vegetarian options, and you can order your food, look around and then sit and eat.
It's ok
As always very tasty food.
I ordered the chai pudding topped with fruit. Forgot the name. It was a bit dry, and the pudding wasn't cold. My daughter ordered a smoothie bowl with fruit (hold the peanut butter). It was VERY VERY good. The fruit smothie part was cold and fresh, the fruit was ripe and fresh.
I want to keep adoring this place. But it’s been a miss last few visits :/ coffee not good, smoothie not good. Salad is pretty consistent and tasty. I hardly ever leave a public bad review but it’s just too pricey to mess up. However if all is done right, it is worth every penny to me to support a local business that offers clean food. Hope things shape back up! Historically have really enjoyed my experiences here.
The curry in a hurry is one of the best things I’ve eaten my mom didn’t make. But the costumer service and smiles are what bring me back over and over again.
Beautiful place very expensive but hard to find. They got my order a little wrong but good experience over all
We came across Birdhouse on a cross country road trip, and we just want to thank Katie for creating such an amazing experience. The food was excellent (my wife is vegan and I am, well, not) and Katie helped us through the menu, and you can feel the energy and love put into this place. HIGHLY recommend this place!
It's okay I wish they would get actually building with sign so people can know it's not a furniture store.
Overall was an odd experience. It is an odd interior design store with a cafe inside? And looks nothing like the pictures on Instagram. The most disappointing thing was paying 9$ for a smoothie that tasted like it was made from rotten fruit and protein powder from Sam’s Club. Which is a lot of money for a smoothie that is not that great. I could have went to Main Squeeze by USM to have a much higher quality experience for the same price. Don’t get me wrong, would love to support a local business, especially a local business with healthy alternatives. However, it stinks when you are overcharged for something that is sub par. Main Squeeze does the same thing for the same price at a much better quality and I will be going there for all of my smoothie and smoothie bowl needs. It also does not seem fair to have something listed as a latte when it is just cold brew and milk. That is just false advertising. I cannot attest to the rest of the menu but would rather not try it because there are other places that I trust more.
This is a great place to go to get away!! If you are looking for something different, maybe even something more eccentric this is the place. I order something new every time I go. The ingredients are always fresh and the flavors are fantastic. I definitely recommend.
I absolutely love their smoothie bowl, açaí especially! I recommend coming here a lot. The staff is very nice, and never make you wait too long ❤️❤️❤️
Very disappointed. After passing the place (twice), I held the door for two workers carrying boxes, no hello,no thank you, no nothing. Once inside ignored again. Ordered salad, very bland, very small portion....
We were excited to have a place with great options of vegan food etc. The food was extremely disappointing. Staff was odd and one of the ladies seemed high or just not all there. The Zucchini noodles were good. The sandwich was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had - hardly anything on it and the meat quality was embarrassing. I was frustrated that we had bought extra food for our friends because the quality sucked. The tomato soup was warm on the bottom, ice cold in the middle, and hot on the top??? It was packed separately from everything else so how the temp was so wacky I have no idea but I didn't eat it because I'm not about to get food poisoning. Will not be returning or recommending this place.
So amazing. We stopped in yesterday while passing through for my birthday lunch. We ordered a variety of foods and drinks, and even took some goodies to go. The KISS salad with salmon and the house dressing was AHMAZING. The owner was super friendly, upbeat, and helpful. The cashew lattes were awesome. Loved the sandwiches as well. AND my 3 year and 8 year old also liked everything, especially the Pitaya Smoothie Bowl which was gorgeous. Wonderful birthday lunch. Would definitely return if in the area again.
Absolutely love The Birdhouse!
I ended up finding this place on one of the travel sites for Hattiesburg. I looked at the menu and figured I'd give it a try while I was in town. I highly recommend everyone to check this little cafe out. They had the best chocolate zucchini muffins I've ever had and their smoothie bowls were excellent. My friend ended up getting a wrap and it turned out pretty good. It's not your typical cafe, since this little spot is hidden in a furniture store, but it's cozy. Keep your eyes open though because you'll definitely miss the driveway at least once if you aren't paying attention.
Our food and drinks were awesome and the server was super friendly and sweet. Cozy local brunch spot with unique dishes. We will be back!
The atmosphere is so pleasant. I absolutely love the avocado toast, blueberry muffins, ginger cookies, pesto pasta, and wake up call. I can eat here daily.
This is an odd little place. It's inside another business, so you'll be convinced you're at the wrong place. But what's inside? A wonderful little cases with a specialty in high end smoothies and food. I had the Grave Digger's Daughter Açaí Bowl and LMNOP Avocado Toast. I'd recommend both of them.
