Enjoyed my stop today😊 there was a preschool tour going on in the store. One of the best places to ship packages. Also found some great hand cream. O'Keeffe Working Hands.

Absolute horrible customer service, attempted to purchase a set of winch cables off of their eBay site about a month ago, had asked an additional question or two to make sure I was getting what I needed with the listing. After not hearing anything back for the last month, I figured I’d go ahead and buy them today since it’s something I need and I was apparently placed on their banned list for being unreasonable and causing trouble. I called directly and talked with a person who I assume was the owner and was told he won’t sell anything to me because he knows the type of person I am and he had a gut feeling about me. I asked him if he could tell me what I had done wrong and he couldn’t because he claimed eBay only lets him see messages within the last 90 days. Our messages were way less than 90 days ago. He then proceeded to hang up on me mid conversation. I attached the screenshots of the messages between us. I have been a member of eBay for 12 years and have a 100% positive feedback rating with over 700 transactions. If you have the option, don’t buy through this business due to complete absence of customer service and respect. UPDATE: See sellers reply to this review, I have never purchased anything from this seller before, was never given the opportunity and after seeing how customers are treated I’m glad I wasn’t. I have no desire to purchase from this seller ever. I will gladly spend my hard earned money elsewhere. I did not cause any problems or create any issues. And EBay does in fact allow sellers to leave feedback to buyers after transactions are made, this guy has no idea what he is talking about. Guess what? Flat rate priority shipping costs the EXACT SAME TO SHIP TO HAWAII!!!! word travels fast here about PRICE GOUGING! Say goodbye to any business from tge islands, losers. Edit: your response is hilarious! Really? Little tiny hardware didn't fit in a flat rate box? Haha ok
We love camping with our ice castle! Awesome staff @ Nilsons very friendly and knowledgeable, I also love my Pelican thermos and cooler from there, lots of great -high quality- products!

Nilson’s Hardware is a great small business to support and shop. They are always helpful and respectful. Their customer service goes above and beyond every time. If you can’t find what your looking for in store, they are always willing to order it in for you!

POOR MANAGEMENT!!! I called their store because their shipping policy is free shipping for a medium flat rate box via USPS and I received notification that there would be an additional $8 charge for shipping to Puerto Rico. PR is a US territory and flat rate shipping to PR costs the exact same as flat rate shipping anywhere in the continental US. The manager was not available, so I responded to their email asking if they could clarify the additional freight charge and if they could try putting in an address for NY and then one for PR when creating the postage and if there is an additional charge for the shipping to please call and I would pay, but if there wasn't if they could honor their free shipping offer. The manager responded with canceling my order saying it's because I refuse to pay. I tried calling the store to explain that I wasn't refusing to pay, but that there is a misunderstanding for the additional charge because the USPS does not charge it. The guy picked up and hung up 3x without saying anything that I thought there was a phone issue. On the 4th try the guy angrily yelled at me that I am not to call the store any more and hung up. I am stunned by how poorly the situation was handled and thought maybe the guy was just having a bad day, but in looking at the poor reviews... there's definitely a habit of poor customer service and there's even someone else's review about the same situation, but for shipping to HI (which is also the same flat rate cost).

Terrible service. Called a moron and a loser because I wanted a refund for a missing package that my post office had to send a third party to retrieve.
Great customer service! The crew at Nilson's is easy to work with and they have a great variety of products throughout the store. The team environment they have is excellent making it easy for the customer!
Rob and his team are top notch. Very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Anyone in the market for an Ice Castle RV/Fish house would be mistaken to not shop at Nilson's.
Good people and good selection
Jesse and the team at Nilson have been AMAZING. I just placed my order for a pretty complicated custom build and Jesse went absolutely above and beyond to help make sure everything was right. This is my 3rd house but first through Nilson's and I can confidently say that when it comes to service, attitude, and price Nilson can't be beat! Now the long wait until i take delivery. UPDATE: Have had the house for almost a year now and couldn't be happier. had one issue with the house and Jesse took care of it immediately! Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Service and customer loyalty went right down the toilet. I have done business with this place for many years. I purchased and traded in 3 Ice Castles from them and was looking at buying my 4th there. Well after speaking with Rob I was basically told he stopped dealing with trade ins and didn't have any interest in dealing with my trade in towards the purchase of my 4th house through them. He was actually kind of rude about it which was a new experience and shock to me. I guess they prefer to try and survive off people's first purchase and piss on loyal return customers. After the severe disappointment in their new business model I am absolutely comfortable spending my next 100k with a different dealer.
