I love there donuts and cookies best in the world
They advertise being one of the 5 best donut places in the state, and they are not wrong. Great selection, friendly staff, and really, really good food. If you're in town, you have to check them out!

I went here a little over a month ago and had a great time. My wife went today to get some cinnamon bread and doughnuts. We live over an hour away so not a very convenient place to go. My wife said the staff today wasn’t helpful and kind of rude. They didn’t have many things in the case and said to call ahead next time but they don’t answer the phone on Saturdays. The staff didn’t acknowledge my son and we’re just going to give him a random doughnut instead of the one he wanted. Over all not a good experience.
Every bakery item we've gotten from Hanisch has always been the best. Their custard chilled long johns are amazing! Workers are always pleasant and helpful.
The pastries and donuts are magnificent and melt-in-your mouth tasty! No wonder its the best donuts in the state and everyone wants a bite!! The line though...can get so long, outside all the way down the sidewalk so plan. Worth it!

The Hanisch Bakery is a destination spot to visit if in Red Wing. You are greeted at the door with the fresh bread and pastry smell that I can’t ever forget. They should charge admission just to walk in. And it would be worth it. The variety of doughnuts and pastries is almost overwhelming but guess what?? You can’t mKe a wrong choice. It’s win every time! Enjoy! You can exercise an extra half hour tomorrow.

Stopped in to check it out and ended up buying a lot of stuff, cookies were great, donuts and breads were very good, fudge brownies were excellent. Also has a coffee shop and ice cream shot connected to it. The coffees were great and very reasonable priced. Would recommend it again too

We ordered Donuts and Cookies from Hanisch Bakery for our wedding. They're responses to my multitude of emails was astounding! They worked with me to make sure I had exactly what I wanted. They have so many options for donuts it made it hard to narrow it down. We ordered 100 donuts and 100 cookies in assorted flavors and about 95% of them were eaten at our wedding! And there were a whole host of other desserts to choose from as well! I received so many compliments from my guests. I wish I lived closer so I could order from them more often!
Pretty good bakery with fairly tasty donuts and an okay selection. I wish they would label their donuts so you knew what you were getting.
Highly recommend the dinner rolls and donuts from this bakery. A Red Wing Gem.
