Great ambiance with rich historical roots stemming from the Prohabition Era. Coffee was superb! Staff was genuinely friendly. Would absolutely visit again for an "underground" (locally brewed) beer of which they serve in their basement. If you go, ask about the tunnels!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SANDWICHES I'VE EVER HAD. Do not pass up an opportunity to eat here.
So quaint! I ordered the half turkey 🥪 with cup of soup. I'm picky, this was tasty with lots of meat! Great service, awesome place!

Gathering Grounds is such a cute coffee and sandwich shop. You can also do a little shopping while your food is being prepared. Many different drink and food options including soup and a kids menu. Several different places to sit - in the window display, back room, downstairs under the stairs, or at many different styles of tables. Be sure to check out Gathering Grounds when you are in Perham!

The absolute best sandwiches in lakes area! These ladies never disappoint. The gelato is scrumptios as well and the party platters are wonderful for entertaining.
Great little restaurant and coffee. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is laid back and eclectic. A good place to linger over a hot cup to visit with a friend
Cute and charming coffee shop with great drinks and sandwiches. This is the place to go if you are meeting someone or working alone and want a little more privacy. Updated 2022: There are new owners, still great food, coffee drinks aren't consistent though, and probably due to staffing (like everywhere) it can take a while to get food sometimes, even to get a drink, so be prepared to be patient, or order ahead online and prepay.

I really liked this place! Fabulous vibe, with unique gifts, attentive service, and delicious food. They easily accomodated my special dietary restrictions and even made a replacement suggestion. I highly recommend stopping in on a regular basis.
Plan to wait for your food during peak times, but it's worth it! The gelato is also very good!

WOW. Best $12 I’ve spent in awhile on food and it was quicker and WAY better than subway. I chose the “build your own” sandwich and it was the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. You can tell they take pride and care into making them - I also got some fruit, cracker and cheese, and extra sauce for my takeout order. Everyone was also super nice and helpful!
I love Gathering Grounds. Food is always awesome, the coffee / drink choices are top-notch plus the staff is helpful and friendly. Perham is lucky to have a great coffee shop like this in town!
