Wonderful portions of food! Cook was by herself taking orders and preparing food! Friendly 🙂 and our meals came out so hot and tasty!
Sue and Yvonne took very good care of us today! This pineapple scone with coconut frosting was amazing!! (Sue doesn’t use a recipe. That’s how good she is!) Dad’s Turn to Cook was great! The only complaint was that we needed a bigger plate. 😉 The homemade sweet rye bread was so good we took a loaf home with us!
It's a bit expensive but you also get a mountain of food so the value is good. Overall one of the best cafes I've been to in a while.

Had the stuffed hash browns and a caramel roll. Both were great! One of the best breakfasts I've had in quite some time. I left so satisfied, I went and took a nap afterwards. Edit: Also had the Bus driver scrambler. Highly recommend.

I've never been anywhere quite like the School House Cafe. The atmosphere has a mix of child-like wonder and coming home. The ladies who run the place are sweet and hard working. The food was great- especially if you like hash browns!
We Stopped at the School House Cafe and the food was delicious and the restaurant itself was nice and clean and unique!!! This is definitely a restaurant to stop at when you're driving through McGregor MN!!! I ordered the Kitchen Sink and my hubby ordered the Country Skillet, we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area!!! Yeah Buddy!!!
Fantastic breakfast and the chicken salad sandwich is huge on homemade bread. Cinnamon and Carmel rolls are no joke either. Service was fantastic
We stopped to shop. And got ice-cream. Lots of interesting things. Available to buy. Come here clothes. Jams. Other eats. I hear it has great food. Lots of parking.
