Best Dam Cafe, serving the best dam burgers. Don't forget dam pie, dam Awesome pie! SAVE THE DAM!!
I was excited to visit even though I wasn't super hungry. I got a dam shake and it was awful. Old, freezer-burnt ice cream with no flavor. My wife got some dam pie and it was decent. The service was melancholy, and the vibe was just depressing. I'd try it again and get a burger with a side of onion rings.
Chocolate Caramel Pecan pie was incredible! Excellent prices too. Come here if you want to get the nostalgic cafe feeling, with the bonus of an incredible view to walk off your meal.
Great old style burgers, with fried onions. Their pie is the best I've ever had, besides my grandma's.
We Cherish The Rapidan DAM Store! Decades of memories and ALWAYS great food. Step back in time... it's worth the trip
Great place for a bite to eat and some great pie!!! Absolutely delicious in every way. Great "mom and pop shop"
The BEST ever. Burgers, onion rings and potato salad were great!! The pies were something else!! Cream pies and the fruit pies out of this world. Great service Can't wait to go back
Stop for the pie, and grab a cheeseburger while you're there. Owners are personable and hard working. DO NOT SKIP THE PIE!!!! 🤤
Great dam burger LoL, very good food for a great price and very well known for their most delicious pie oh and they use an actual old fashioned pay phone to take calls for orders.
Best place around for homemade pies! Worth the crowds and the wait.
Very pleasant setting. Employees were cheerful, food was excellent and ambiance made it feel laid back and relaxing.
Great food and service,Jim and his family are Great host's,Drove 137 miles to get there and it was worth it!
Really cool little spot. We just had desert but the Milk shakes were great. Great spot for a family outing with the Dam and park very close.
Quaint little cafe perfectly positioned next to the dam. Great pie.
Absolutely best pie in town! Love the small town feel and so thankful for the hard work the owners put into this place and their pies!
The best part of taking a long bike ride from Mankato to Rapidan, is stopping by the dam store for pie. I know that cancels out the bike ride, but the pie is just that good.
The place has bygone era charm. A small eatery out in the country, it has some appeal if you like that sort of thing. The food was ok. Nothing special. The pies are very good. Service was horrible. I stood at the register waiting to pay for 7 minutes. Every single employee walked by me and smiled, but I still had to wait. They only accept cash or local checks. The pie and the milkshakes are the best part.
Drove 2 hours for an over-hyped burger. I mean, if you're in Mankato it's probably worth the drive. But any further than that is probably a waste of time and money.
Unique place to visit. You don't find many places like it.
