Great home cooked meals. Mary K is great and fun to engage with! Will be back often, loved the beef commercial!!
The best!
First time here - love, live, love! Great hometown ambience and amazingly good food! We will be regulars here!
Mary Kay is a wonderful woman. Friendly, the food was absolutely delicious. Most definitely going back for a breakfast time. Homemade bread was awesome, I even ate the end piece. Love, love.
Mary Kay is the owner of this establishment and she can cook one helluva good breakfast. She doesn't use menus and just makes you what you ask for but utilizes her years of kitchen experience to make it absolutely delicious. I 100% highly recommending stopping in and grabbing a bite.
Outstanding food and service! And the stories from Mary are priceless. Highly recommend!
Great made to order food, small town cafe-friendly staff and a great way to start the day!
As we walked in with our family of seven, the waitress frowned and exclaimed "Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" Then said crossly, "It's going to be a while" then walked away and did not return. We waited for a while and left. I'm not sure I've ever been treated so rudely at a restaurant.
Had the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had! Copious amounts of corned beef, kraut and cheese and perfectly grilled!
Really loved the service very friendly
Thanks Mary Kay for the delicious burgers! -from the out of towners 😁
Waited 50 mins for breakfast when there was only 3 tables waiting to get food. Ordered wheat toast, got rye that was hard and burnt. The hashbrowns and pancakes where still not done. No menus either, waitress recites it to you. The kitchen has a BUNCH of boxes all over the floor from what you can see of it and there’s a cat running around inside the restaurant. I’ll never come back.
I love the home cooking here. Every table was full today around 10am. I believe Mary Kay is the one cooking, so it took awhile for our food, but it was worth it. Love the Central Hash!!
WOW ....this place has terrific food. So fresh & tasty. I felt so lucky to have found Mary & her great Cafe. Now I have to move closer :) I grew up in the restaurant business so I know when I have tasted the very Best. Check it out !
Mary Kay is wonderful. The service is great. The cookies are out of this world. If you are in Lester Praire, stop in for wonderful food.
The National EMS Memorial Bike ride made a stop in Lester Prairie. The Central Cafe made a generous donation of a wonderful lunch. The sandwiches were fantastic. The bread was unbelievable! The cookies. Wow. Thank you so much. The cafe is easy to find with plenty of parking. It's right across from the Dakota trail. A nice place to stop on your bike ride.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner it was always good. Use to stop in for breakfast when we had to work all night moving snow. Coffee was hot and the food was great. The caramel rolls are the best.
Very poor customer service, the server didn't seem like she wanted to be there, no smile no greeting, took almost 20 minutes to take our order when there was one other table in the building, someone called to ask if they were open and when the owner got off the phone she made a comment saying no we aren't open but I'm just standing here. Out of all the times I've been here this was the worst experience I had here. Seems to me that the workers there need to learn some customer service
Good food, unique options
One staff member for the whole breakfast crew. Felt like she didn’t want to be there and took orders for some that came in after us. No charm or welcoming feel to this one and only place to eat in town. Very disappointed.
