When I saw "best breakfast around" from another review, I had high expectations. They weren't met. It's breakfast, it's basic, its good. Its truck stop, Dennys type breakfast. It's a small business, so I'm happy to patronize this place. The staff were all incredibly nice, and there was a great vibe from them. Very down to earth people and good service. If don't go in thinking it'll be the best breakfast you've ever had, you should leave satisfied.

This is my favorite breakfast place! Tasty and reasonably priced. Cinnamon French Toast is the best.

It’s exactly as advertised, or at least it was on my recent visit. Though it’s not far from the city, The Buckboard feels like a perfect small-town diner. The portions were large. All of the usual culinary suspects were there: pancakes, omelets, a wide variety of big skillets, and a dinner menu with beef, fried chicken, and fish options. I had the Buckhorn Benny, a large-portioned play on Eggs Benedict with a huge square of hash browns and a sweet hollandaise. The menu also has some interesting protein outliers like kielbasa and gyro meat. The interior is 100% country dining with chandeliers made from leather belts and horseshoes and big, deep booths to settle into. This is not a stuffy place. It’s where you’d take the family on a Sunday or if you need a big dinner. Cash is preferred but they also accept cards. I will be back next time I’m very hungry.

My wife and I grabbed breakfast here last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. She had eggs, bacon, and pancakes while I had an omelet. The food was delicious, the waitress was on her game, and the staff was very friendly and appreciated our business.

Never disappoints! Always leave full and happy. Even if there is a line I'll wait, usually doesn't take long anyway and well worth it. Best breakfast around !!

On our way out of Minneapolis, we decided to stop for breakfast and found this place. It was around a 20 minute wait but worth it. It was incredibly busy and a little overwhelming but that’s how you know it’s gooooood. The prices were low and the food was great. I will say that the eggs and the hashbrowns were lacking salt or seasoning really, but that’s okay because you can salt and pepper to your liking. The ham was super flavorful and the pancakes were addicting. I enjoyed a basic cup of coffee for the first time in a long time. My boyfriend got a skillet which he was raving about for the next hour. Our sever was an absolute sweetheart. Don’t sleep on this place. Super cute little diner. We will be back next time we’re in town!

Great spot for some food. I have tried their country fried steak breakfast and the mestlovers omelet. It was busy, but we were able to be seated right away.

Spectacular, hot food. Few places can do a hot turkey sandwich well. They are usually too salty. This was perfect. My husband's omelet was good also. Service was extremely fast in a very busy place. Highly recommend.

You definitely go here for the food. It reminds me of a mom and pop diner, and calories don't count when you eat at these places. Very reasonable prices, the waitstaff calls you honey and you can get in and out quickly.

Great food, great service. First time eating there and had a really good time. It was very busy but felt like the staff really cares about their customers. I will definitely go back there in the future

This is real deal home-cooked food . The biscuits and gravy are delicious and was 4 biscuits, not 2 cut in half . Very quick service by an awesome lady . My new favorite breakfast stop . Very highly recommend if you want real food, not fusion type flash .

I had a burger and a lemonade. The 1/2 lb burger is exactly what you want when you want a burger. Delicious. The lemonade is very sweet and very good. Mom and pops shop type atmosphere, with prices that are beyond reasonable for quality and portions. I would definitely recommend.
