Once again the Junkaroo Sale 28th and 29th was great! The staff set up our tables and were friendly, as usual. Plenty of shoppers who bought my treats and sweets and we had a nice visit. Some were back again and gave me good feedback. Thank you shoppers!

Brought my son to the children's discovery center to play for his birthday today, and he had a fantastic time. Many fun books, toys, and activities. Will certainly be returning. I highly recommend!

My 4 older brothers & I went to school in Cotton in what was probably a different older building. I believe 2 graduated from there before going into the service & being sent to Viet Nam. I was in kindergarten & had a male teacher if I remember right, it had to be 1963 or 64, we would dress up in clothing & costume jewelery moms had donated, we still took naps & had snacks too. The brother right above me had Mrs. Lancaster for either first or second grade. One of my brothers was dating the girl who would be prom queen that year & I was her crown bearer. I can still remember how important I felt & walking across the gym with the lights down low. It was amazing. I wish i could see the old yearbooks from around that time.

This is everything an old school can hope to be! A place to shop, socialize, eat, learn a new skill, schedule an event, learn history and teach pride in our community. Every old school should be so used and treasured as the Cotton School. Thank you Ginger and family and staff for all you do for everyone in your community.
