Great ice cream. Small town feel makes it taste better right? Long line that moved fast. Great flavors and a variety of ways to have it.

Gone is the Big Dipper... Dramatic change in 2022. Now a walk up outside order window. The shop is gone as well as the offerings from yesteryear Now they offer a cone or a dish or you can treat yourself to special combo if you want a sundae. It used to be an awesome place to go for handmade candy. Still delicious and a must stop for ice cream sundaes with whipped cream and a cherry like the pictures I have posted.. Love Bridgemans ice cream.. Many top notch choices. Coconut Commotion and Raspberry Fudge Truffle please...

Walk up window ice cream shop, that also happens to sell coffee/espresso drinks. A perfect little stop on 61 after hiking at nearby state parks.

My wife and I drive up to Beaver Bay just to enjoy the ice cream at the Big Dipper. The owners are great people who really care about their community. Great flavors and great service!

Usually a great stop, but already closed for the season. :( We heard from the few shops open that they just couldn't get help to stay open. So sad the state of our world.

We had great coffee and ice cream. Very friendly service even though it was quite busy. Everything looked clean and well kept. Would definitely return.

Showed up at 4:57 with my family of 5. Door was locked. Two people ran in the back when they saw me coming. One women yelled at me and my three kids thru the window they were closed. Just trying to give a small business some business. As a past owner of a small business can’t help but be dissapointed. 5 small ice creams in a cup. 3 to 5 minutes and $20 to the house. What kind of ice cream store isn’t open after dinner? Good luck surviving with that attitude.

The shop was clean and bright and the workers were friendly and efficient. It featured many flavors of ice cream. My wife and I both had blueberry cheesecake and agreed that it was smooth and delicious.

Cute little shop, with lines on busy days, comma but they seem to move through the line quickly.
