I am a huge coffee and sweets fan, and this place DELIVERS!! The coffee, perfection. I got an americano with a little bit of flavor and it was to die for. My sweet? A gluten free monster cookie. I'm not gluten free, and they were right: you don't even miss it. If I was looking to convert, this cookie would be the one to make me leave gluten for good. Cheers, ladies! You crushed it ☕️
It's easy to be the best coffee shop in a small town, especially when there's no competition. Drinks are decent. Espresso pulls were actually timed perfect, not like you'd see at big-chains, where they hurry the pull & you don't get to experience the velvety crema that should sit atop each shot. Not crazy about prices but it's Annandale. They're the only place in town you can get an espresso drink, that I know of. Parking sucks, especially if you're craving an iced Americano on a Saturday morning. You'll have to walk a ways to get past the farmer's market.

In Hot Water has a welcoming atmosphere, wonderful customer service, they showcase local art all over their shop, are community involved, and have some of the best coffee I have ever had! If you are looking for a sweet escape to relax or simply need a pick me up, In Hot Water is the place to be!

Scones were excellent! Even though they were extremely busy; the staff were friendly and our order was delivered quickly. Highly recommend.

We've always loved the coffee and baked goods, but it's even better in the new location! Delicious options for a nice breakfast or lunch, great coffee and the best scones around! Lots of comfortable seating options and we especially love the displays of student artwork from the local school!
Cool little coffee joint with nice menu, good strong dark coffee, room to comfortably sit and chat, and cool ambiance.
