Pretty good Cafe. It has a basic menu of Cafe food. About what you would expect. Worth a lunch.
We ordered an omelet and an Italian sub and both were great.....and the portions were huge! 😁
Ontonagons gem is right here. They have a large menu of great food! We have never had nothing less than a perfect meal here. So if you hungry this is the place to go for great food. 5 stars and more for sure! We will be back many times in the future. Kudos to the wonderful owners and fine staff for a job well done! Thank you all.

The food here is FANTASTIC and the services is very down home. My omelette was light, creamy, and fluffy! Coffee was hot and fresh. Highly recommend. Our go-to in Ontonogan!

Best food in town, hands down!! I’ve eaten here each time I’ve visited the area and have not been disappointed. You guys have the best hash browns I’ve ever eaten, they taste like they’re made with butter! On my prior trip we ate every meal here!
Delicious! Their omelettes are the best. Belgian waffle was great. Everything we had was hot, fresh and very good!
Everything on their menu is out of this world! The burgers and pasties are just some of the popular items on their menu. We have been to Up North Cafe several times and the food is beyond delicious and the owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The place is clean and the service was great. This restaurant is an absolute gem and the cosmopolitan flavour is surprising in a rural Northern Michigan town. Can't wait to visit Up North Cafe again! 😍

Excellent breakfast! We had 2 eggs over easy, sausage, hashbrowns and toast, and a western omelette with hashbrowns and toast. Typical breakfast but really nicely prepared. Coffee is typical diner style (weak). Service was great.

Cool little breakfast spot in the small town of Ontonagon. The place had a very homey feel to it as there were many locals. It was one of, if not the only, places to eat breakfast in the whole town. While their menu was very typical, there was certainly nothing to complain about. Overall, not bad for being one of the only options around for breakfast.

They took our large group and very quickly. Food was prepared promptly and was absolutely delicious!!!!!
We stopped by here after our 4 day backpacking trip through the porcupine mountains. It turned out to be a fantastic highlight of the trip, even though we were all starting out starving, we all found our omlettes were fantastic. Our waitress was the only one working, but she did a fantastic job filling our order and accommodating us. Overall excellent diner food at good prices. There was cricket on TV which was a plus after not having any screens for days.
Karl and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with wonderful service and excellent food. Bravo!
