Absolutely delicious! The Koshery is fantastic. A little triumphant gathering of flavors. The little potato wedges are incredible. I need to try the rice pudding! Wonderfuly inviting environment. If your scrolling for food give this a shot. You.wont be disappointed.
Polite staff and interesting homey atmosphere, but that's about it. This is fast food - and overpriced for the portions and lack of presentation. Not what you would expect. Said we were eating in and yet food is served in single use plastic containers with lids, disposable aluminum baking tins, plastic silverware, and even the bread I was served was wrapped in a ridiculous amount of plastic wrap. If you are looking for fresh food and low footprint this is not the place. I do not wish to support this kind of business model. Edit after response from owner: *changed to 1 star review* The type of business model that I'm not trying to support is very clear - one that is unsustainable/unethical. You say you are not a franchise and yet you are running your business like every other franchise by creating ridiculous amounts of waste. I dine in because I do not like a bunch of to go containers that end up in a landfill. Instead of taking the opportunity to learn from a customer experience you get defensive. Being a small business owner does not entitle you to praise. Be humble. I assure you I do not care for "corporate franchises" and support small business when I can.
The people were very friendly I had never tried Egyptian food it was quite tasty would definitely reccomend it im a meat eater and the vegetarian dish was delicious
Had the koshery, sweet potato samosas, and lentil soup! Everything had great flavor and I didn’t feel sick after cause it’s somewhat healthy and vegetarian. Would recommend! Will be back to try some other options!
AMAZING service, food is absolutely fantastic, beautiful set up, all around super cozy and an amazing environment, 10/10 would recommend
The food is delicious. And I love the friendliness and good vibe💯💯
I went in and talked with one of the owners, Dale, while getting Koshery and Turkish Coffee for the first time. I loved everything I got and the owner was very nice. Everything about Egyptian Koshery was great! If you're looking for a new and different place to eat in Midland, make sure you check this place out. Egyptian Koshery even became a partner of Midland Local showing that they really care about the community. This is a great place and I will be going back for lunch often.
Wow! So happy to have found this place! Almost everything is vegan so my order kept getting bigger! I got the main dish, (and staff favorite), the Koshary, plus, baba with pita chips, apricot pudding and baklava! Everything was top notch! Delicious! Thank you for a delicious meal! The inside was beautiful with table seating and cushion floor seating, wish I had more time to eat my meal there with a Turkish coffee.
Amazing food and great service. Must try the Kushari, lentil soup, and kunafa. We will come back again.
Absolutely delicious and authentic flavors from Dale (AKA Kaiser) who's got the vision and the spirit needed to bring the tastes of a Egypt to Midland. Obviously a labor a love, I can't recommend it enough. Healthy, vegan, and flavorful. Stop by! (Not a paid actor, but will take more rice pudding)
Koshery, Samosas, Egyptian salad was all very delicious. Owners were very friendly!
Great good and atmosphere! Definitely Recommend them.
We love Egyptian Koshery! The family is so friendly and the food is delicious. Great location and prices.
Delightful eatery and pleasant owners...plan on more savoury visits!
We finally tried eating here, and were not disappointed! I ordered pickup online, and as I walked in I was greeted by the owners (who genuinely seem like some of the sweetest people on Earth) and they told me they just finished up making my order fresh! I had never tried falafel before so I was so excited to try and… YUM!! I had asked for no tomato and Riham (the owner) told me she added extra chickpeas as a substitute! No other restaurant had done that for me before, the extra care and consideration she had for me while making our meal meant so much! And I have to say I was surprised at how filling even one falafel was, and happy that i’ll have leftovers for later! So excited to try everything on the menu, thank you so much Riham and Dale for your wonderful service and food!
Great taste! Love the cool artwork. Great for take-out! I've been a fan of their other location in Grand Rapids and accidentally pulled right in front of this location with my friend today so I had to explore the larger menu!! I loved the falafel 🧆🤤
Great food, fast service, you have to try it!
A little hidden gem found while traveling! The food was good! Especially the samosa. Very friendly staff!
I wanted to put one star ,but i know it would reflect the overall rating ..and i really dont want to be mean.. I usually cook koshri at home ..and . Was so excited to try this resturant..me my husband and my kids were really hungry..but unfortunatley the koshri were watery,no flavoures .. the lentil and rice were uncooked ! So Sorry to say it was worse koshri ive ever tried.. also the spanish pie was bad.
We drove out of our way while traveling up north to try this place because the reviews said so many good things. It did not disappoint! Not only were the business owners incredibly nice and friendly, but the food was amazing too! They were sold out of a few things when we arrived, but next time I'd be happy to buy the whole menu. It was that good! Delicious and authentic, best part is they don't serve dead animals ☺️ will definitely stop here again on my next trip up.
