Such a gem! We came here for lunch and had the grilled cheese, salmon burger and peanut butter fudge (to die for!). Food was delicious, staff was so nice. Could tell they were genuinely asking if we were ok vs being forced to. Decor was so well thought out and cute!

We stopped again... And again it was marvelous! The breakfasts were delicious and they allowed us to customize our order, by removing ingredients, and then made them to order. Thank you! The endless and delectable cups of coffee and multiple choices of creamer, including oat milk, gave me reason to try them all (except the decaf, though I was tempted.) Jenn used our camera to take a picture of my family, which was delightful and greatly appreciated but too personal to share. It shows the amazing tables chairs and inventive menus. Oh, I almost forgot that we go for the baked goods especially the turnovers. When I die I believe St. Peter will ask about these because they are sinfully delicious and the artistically frosted cupcakes more sinfully decadent. While you're there... Step into the attached gifts shop featuring skilled and talented local artists. What a great gem in the vast and beautiful Keweenaw Bay area.

This is always my stop for sweet treats! Always a variety of goodies, many even gluten free! Plus, they serve a pretty awesome Brisket Breakfast burrioto!

Ate at this café two times during my weeklong visit to L'anse this past summer. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about my visit - the food (delicious), service (top notch), environment (tasteful and cool), and prices (very reasonable). I do low carb, so I asked for the egg salad sandwich without bread. The woman taking my order asked if I'd like her to put the salad on top of a slice of tomato, adding that they were fresh from the market stand. I thought it sounded like a good idea and it was delicious! Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in the UP. Highly recommend.

This place.. simply amazing. We were up in the area visiting family and my husband went into town and found this Cafe. This place brings a door county feel without the door county price tag. This cafe has what it takes to start a positive change in the business and restaurant culture within the surrounding area.

Ive eaten at Cafe L'Anse alot lately and enjoy the daily variety on the menu of soups sandwiches and breakfast items. I've tried many of the fresh baked cookies pastries and treats they have a sparkle of love and really enjoyed them. I buy my Niemelas maple syrup here since the price is the best in town.

Loved the atmosphere and window seats--quaint and cozy. Also appreciated the wide selection of self-serve beverage options...everything from kombucha to Diet Coke. My kids enjoyed their chili and a turnover, but my cheddar broccoli soup was not good, not good at all. I'll be back to try something different.

We went for breakfast on 11/14 & 11/15 and got breakfast bowls with coffee. Everything was just great. Nice atmosphere, awesome baked & local goods. Nicer, more relaxed setting than the nite owl for food. Met the owners and they were just wonderful! Highly recommended trying.

I recently had lunch here. The restaurant was very clean and I thought the prices were fair. The coffee was also great. I hope to stop by again.

Cafe L'Anse is truly a hidden gem-- I have never left a Google review before, but I feel the need to spread the word on this one. I happened to come here for lunch with some friends on the cafe's 1-year anniversary and we left singing its praises! The teriyaki kebabs over rice were fantastic (I could honestly just drink the sauce and be quite content), and everyone was very impressed by the variety of greens in our salads. We all broke and bought some of the baked goods (of which there are many) for dessert. I can't speak to every baked good in this establishment, but the cheesecake, pecan pie, and apple pastries were wonderfully made and I have full faith that the rest of the desserts in Cafe L'Anse will not disappoint. The ice cream here is even homemade! The owner informed us of the sustainable dishware (very refreshing in a world of problematic, single-use plastics), another unexpected plus to go along with the great food and reasonable prices! The overall environment here is very positive, with cozy seating and kind, sociable workers that really seem to care about what they're doing. I will definitely be returning and I hope that you decide to come check it out too!

This is an absolutely, positively wonderful little restaurant. The food was scrumptious, the staff was friendly - as were my fellow patrons.I got the vibe of a nice local bistro in Europe. And take the time to visit the shop next door.
