Beautiful place with great friendly staff and delicious food. I loved their tomato basil soup and their shop. I would highly recommend this place for trying good food if you are in grand Marais.
This 1950s diner is fantastic! New owners, and they have done a remarkable job. The shopping selections are very fun, and the food was fantastic. Plus, the entire staff is super warm and friendly. We had so much fun when we went here for breakfast that after we went hiking we returned for a late lunch. I cannot say enough good about our experience at this restaurant and how much we love the food. Highly recommend!
Very charming vibe, unique and delicious food, and lovely people. What more can you ask for :)
Great place. Great food. Great people. Community minded diner in Grand Marais. Don't miss it. They have gifts and whatnot curated nicely.
Fell in love with this place. A MUST visit. The new owners are just as dedicated as the previous owners. Hoping the new Energies involved will continue to bring happiness and goodness to the Diner.
An eclecticly decorated, warm, friendly, family run diner, serving freshly cooked comfort food. We had the famous U.P. pasty and the goulash which were simply delicious! An absolute must visit in Grand Marais!
Stopped for breakfast. We had the Crustless Spinach Feta quiche and Kropsua with blueberries. Both were very good.
The breakfast pasty covered in sausage gravy was outstanding. The service was as good or better. Very cool diner and perfect for this beautiful little gem of a town. Wish I had much more time.
At least for today, Monday 9/26/22, the kitchen closed at 4pm. We should have called. The gift shop and ice cream parlor were still open ‘till 8pm. Even though the staff certainly didn’t have too, they were able to accommodate the two of us with delicious takeout pasties for dinner. Very much appreciated, and thank you again. We will be back soon.
New owners have taken over. Breakfast of French toast was good. More ala' cart now.
Great food and even better service in a unique restaurant. The front is a retro 1940's diner complete with turquoise swivel stools.
This place is wonderful. A nice place to slow down and grab a meal. Great food and a unique atmosphere
Great little family run restaurant and gift shop, the front of which is a 40's-50's style steel trolly car. All day breakfast, lunch and bakery items. The gift shop opens up into the 2nd floor, which is packed wall to wall with books, plushies, syrups, stickers, art, and all manner of gifts and collectibles. Clean comfortable bathrooms. Parking in the rear leads to a short ramp. Say yes to ~gravy~.
Sat in the diner car. Food was delish! Owners were awesome! Within walking distance from our hotel room.
Great view of the bay. We had breakfast. The were quick, friendly, easy stop. Favorite town to visit.
This is the cutest little hometown diner with the most genuinely pleasant owners. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've ever had, the biscuits were so fluffy and soft and fresh, and the gravy was amazing. The bacon was perfect and french toast was yummy too! Iced tea was made in a jar right out on the deck. Prices are reasonable. There's a little gift shop upstairs. We will definitely come back next time we are in Grand Marais!
Loved our visit. Family.owned and operated. Sang me happy birthday!!
The food was good the apple pie was delicious. The ladies working there were as friendly and professional as you could ask for. The whole restaurant has such a great look and feel.
I love the experience of eating here gentleman came out and told us about his grandma's recipes. He took real pride in his food menu. And it was great 👍
It was a cute little dinner. Staff were very nice. Wifi wouldn't work tho. Loved the gift shop layout. A bit pricey for food selections.
