On top of being a great local cafe, Blue Heron was perfect for catering our special day. My husband and I were blown away by the service Blue Heron Catering provided. Their communication from start to finish was phenomenal. Julie was reliable and professional. At the tasting, we had many fabulous options, and Chef Brian made sure that we had exactly what we needed to make the best choice for our wedding. All of our guests raved about the food with its high-quality ingredients and fantastic flavor. What I also loved about Blue Heron was how many of their main courses are dairy and/or gluten-free, which allowed our guests with dietary restrictions to still eat all the same food as the rest of our guests. This Northern Michigan gem is hard to beat!

Delicious homemade food! The salad with poppyseed dressing was amazing! And every menu item had a gluten-free option!! I would go out of my way to come here again and again!!

If "Cheers" was a breakfast place, this would be it! Definitely a regular spot for townies, greeting each other by name. The food and service was as great as the atmosphere. Home style food and fresh made sourdough bread! 🤤 This will be a regular spot for us when we travel in the area. Don't forget to get a freshly made cookies. FABULOUS!!
Wonderful place for breakfast in the heart of Cadillac. Not too busy at 8:30. Love their selection and baked good included fresh donuts and holiday sugar cookies
Really loved their donuts, but they're not doing them anymore. They still have some varieties and cookies and muffins.

I haven't been here in a long time but anytime I go to there I don't get disappointed at all, The doughnuts taste like home made and fresh

We found out about Blue Heron Catering by a Google search. Blue Heron Catering was top notch from the beginning to the end of our wedding process! Julie, was extremely helpful with food choices, a day of timeline, and was quick to respond all throughout the planning process. We chose the beef brisket, pesto chicken, creamed corn, red skin parmesan potatoes, and Michigan salad for our wedding meal. Our guests raved about the food! As the bride, I wish I was able to eat more of the food (such as try the pesto chicken since I never got the chance to). I would definitely choose Blue Heron to cater another event.

Doughnuts are not like they were before. Dry and to much frosting. Did they change bakers.Used to love getting Doughnuts there.

10000/10 recommend. You NEED to try this place out! Amazing service. Great quality food. Clean. Fresh. So many gluten free options available. I got the lunch flight with 1/2 a turkey havarti sandwich & the salad was SO good— you have to try the poppyseed dressing. The sourdough bread is made fresh daily. Different options of soup daily as well. Definitely coming again.
