Super good coffee, smoothie, muffins and other goodies. Friendly staff, open, airy and light-filled interior. I’m there at least once a week. Lovely place.

Great coffee. Good food. Helpful staff. We ordered a cappuccino and a “shakerino” (espresso, shaken with ice and simple syrup) with our breakfast. We split a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese on Berkshire Mountain bread as well as a bacon, red potato and spinach “tortilla” which was an egg-bake square with lots of bacon, red potato and spinach in it (not to be confused with the mexican “tortilla” as Mark Bittman describes: “The Spanish tortilla has nothing in common with the Mexican variety except its shape and its name. One is just a bread. The other can be an appetizer, a snack, or even a light meal.”) Try one here. The cafe has a wall of at least 10 different roasted beans that an employee allowed us to smell (they are in dispensers and she emptied some of each one we wanted to try into the dispenser lid so that we could take a whiff) and we ended up buying four 10oz bags and a 5oz bag to take home since we aren’t local. I almost exclusively drink tea but my partner encouraged me to try the beans and I completely understood why they are his new favorite. Hence why I chose coffee over tea on this rare occasion. Highly recommend if you like coffee.

Nice stop for coffee and outdoor sculpture garden. West Stockbridge was a cool, small town.

Miss the old depot six. They have good coffee and lattes and the food they do still serve is okay. They really downsized the menu which is sad.

I admire the focused approach to the renovation and there is nothing like the monsooned malabar!!!

No. 6 Depot seems to be in the tough transitional spot of being a former local lunch spot that is trying to remake itself as a full-fledged specialty coffee shop. Unfortunately, it seems that about 50% of potential customers still go in looking for lunch and then walk out disappointed and empty-handed, as the cafe no longer serves sandwiches or anything heavier than pastries. It also seems that the wholesale and roasting side of the business is their priority over the cafe experience (which in this Covid/post-Covid era is totally understandable). Don’t get me wrong, the space is super lovely and pleasant, the historical building is *so cool* and the staff are very kind and friendly, but I had to withhold a star because many of the folks who work the bar don’t seem to know much about the coffee they’re serving, and the preparation is… so-so. They do not currently offer pour overs, and in the few times I have been there neither the batch brew or espresso has been really dialed in. This shop is totally worth a visit if you’re in the area, and is still probably some of the best coffee in the Berkshires, but I am eager for the time when they find their way out of this transitional phase, and I hope that investing in some barista training and education are part of that transition plan.

Have a great coffee and spend some time on the deck. Go across the street and check out the books. They don’t have their full menu, but some bites.

Beautiful coffees and artisanal goods for sale. Their maple syrup blends were delicious. Not much in the way of prepared food, just terrific coffees and nice preprepared baked goods on sale. But nonetheless one of the nicest roasters in the area.

We’re from MA, moved to CA, and are on a 2-way cross-country road trip to visit home on the Cape… that being said, we’ve stopped for a LOT of coffee the past month. On this trip we’ve been going OUT of the way to secure local coffee and beers and avoid chain coffee stops at all costs. We get coffee subscriptions from small batch roasters delivered to our home back West. We love coffee. Unreservedly, this place was THE BEST stop we’ve made in 5,000 miles. We bought beans after trying our coffees, and will order for delivery at home! The service was amazing, our sweet cashier was so knowledgeable and helpful in choosing beans, and very patient as we held up the line choosing our drinks. We each got a muffin, mine the best GF banana chocolate chip muffin I’ve ever had, and my husband’s banana Nutella muffin was a delightful surprise. If you can - even if you can’t - STOP HERE.

This use to be one of our favorite places to stop for breakfast/lunch while road tripping west. However right now they have no online menu to confirm if more than “snacks” and coffee are being served. You also can’t get anyone to answer the phone to see how long the “only accepting food orders in person” wait will be. Huge bummer becuase they’ve been serving amazing bacon egg and cheese sandwiches for years now. Hoping things get back on track soon.

Oof. What a swing and a miss. Picked up a bag of Blue Velvet from Whole Foods, looking to try something from a different local roaster. This tasted like over-roasted charcoal. Bitter, dry, and chalky. I've had stale Wegman's brand beans that tasted better than this. Absolutely terrible, I'll never buy another bag of theirs.

Surprisingly delicious food! Delicious 'craft' food. We would return there anytime we're in the area. Spacious outside dining area tastefully arranged.

Great spot in a cozy area. The line was long but moved quick. After I ordered i just killed time at the bookstore across the street! Highly recommend both.

Been coming to this place year after year for a great lunch before heading to Tanglewood's afternoon concerts. The food is always fresh and well prepared. Both hot (cappuccinos/latte's) and cold drinks (Arnold Palmer's/herbal teas) are made perfectly everytime. They do get busy at peak times but they always seem to have enough space indoor and outdoor to accommodate everyone.
