The coffee was amazing! You’ve got to try the empanadas and babka.
What a cute little place! Their empanadas are amazingly flavorful.
I visited a few days ago and ordered an iced Americano. The gentleman behind the counter did not make any fresh espresso. He filled a small cup with ice and bent down behind the counter and filled the cup with already premade coffee. This is not an Americano but simply stale black coffee. When I asked him how many shots of espresso were put in this Americano. He replied 2 shots. It was a complete farce. Furthermore the cup in which he served the to go coffee was very small and filled to the brim with ice. Would not go back. Sad because it looked like a cool neighborhood establishment.
Awesome cafe with really personal service! Highly recommend trying their empanadas
I went here a while ago and the coffee was just okay. The breakfast was also, just okay. The bathroom reeked of bleach and artificial air freshener.
The place to go if you are looking for small independent coffee houses. They roast, pack and brew their own line of single origin, specialty coffee. They also serve international desserts and tasty empanadas.
Great location! People were nice and working hard with a variety of coffee, pastries, and empanadas. Would be great if they could use reusable cups instead of paper ones for those eating in.
Sweet Cheese empanada, not great.
Best coffee in the area, the ambiance is great, and the food is always delicious. Service is fantastic and they have a ton of options. I would give them six stars if I could
Was craving a baklava soooooo bad. So I ordered the baklava from here since it was super close to my place. It was around $5 for half of a full square. SUPER DRY. Not real honey. I think it was old. Only put 3 stars because the cafe is cute inside and the owner seems nice. But overall, would not come here again. I overheard someone also say that a drink that they ordered was “not very good”. I think the owner gave them a new one though, not sure though. I left after taking my baklava LOL. And yes I did eat it anyways because it was $5 and my anxiety that I did not go and ask for a new one/refund. 😄😄
Store was closed around 3pm when I went; I checked multiple times and it said it closes at 5pm.
I love Zaruma! The owner is an excellent man and they have cheaper prices compared to other local coffee shops. I wish it were in a more central location to me, but I walk the extra 5-10 minutes to work here over other shops around Somerville.
Our first visit here and all of the great things we have heard about the service and food are true. Prices are reasonable for great quality goods and the outdoor seating on a warm November weekend day is a bonus. We will be regulars. Thank you!
The coffee is OK, I don’t see it to be much better than Starbucks. The enchiladas contain a lot of corn regardless of the filling type, I guess because it is a cheap filling. Also, they gave me a wrong type of enchiladas.
Love this place! Great coffee, the best Chai latte, awesome snacks, nice people who run it. 👍👍
Very cute café with a wild, delicious food selection and unbelievably friendly service
Poor wifi connection and slow drink-sequencing and making. Was grabbed inappropriately by a customer because he couldn't pay his bill, this place has really weird clientele. On top of that, my iced latte had little to no milk and tasted like watery espresso. Would not recommend.
A hidden gem for sure. Stop by and enjoy the breakfast sandwich and coffee drinks. I haven't had them yet, but the empanadas sure looked good. Next visit!
Really great iced coffee! Large variety of huge empanadas that looked tasty. Super cute spot with outdoor chairs and nice pottery/gifts for sale inside. They also have bombas that looked really yummy but I didn’t get to try them. Definitely 5 stars for iced coffee though!
The coffee is excellent and their blinchiki w/ cheese filling is so good! Will definitely be back again!
