Very expensive. 22 dollars for a root beer float and two ice cream cones

Best ice cream ever! Plus they were very kind to let me in close to closing to get ice creams for my parents. Belgian chocolate for my dad, pistachio with real pistachios and without food coloring for my mom and strawberry ice cream with real and plentiful strawberries for me and coffee for Dave. Thank you for taking care of me!

Had the cashews, some strawberry icecream, and the capuccino. They were all very good.

Came in with friendly faces and wanted to feel a warm welcome that the nostalgic atmosphere would lend itself to but that was not what we experienced. The server was far less than welcoming. Then, while being the only ones in the shop, would not let us have a small sample taste and ice cream. When we tried an ice cream, and didn’t like it, we had to buy an entirely new ice cream.… There was no accommodations given to an unsatisfactory experience which could have been avoided with a small sample and a friendly smile.

So I have to say that I am disappointed with the service level I received for the Nut House. I asked for a sample of a certain type of ice cream. They said we do not provide samples. So I said if I am unhappy with the ice cream then I am out of luck. The response I received was yes. Locals all know that cookies stay in the window for days. Thus the reason for asking for a sample of the ice cream. You never know how long it has been sitting there. Even thought it may look tempting. Best to move on…..

Delicious ice cream and brownies, and friendly staff. Tried the “B3” ice cream ( burnt butter, brown sugar , brownie) - UNBELIEVABLE!!! First 4 days of vacation and been there twice. Will definitely go again before vacation ends!

Cookies and brownies looked and smelled great, but I only had a coffee and it was rather bad. The staff was very friendly and the place is clearly more than just coffee, so that's why I go with three stars. There are also ice creams and cold drinks, which may be a good alternative too. Prices a bit on the high side, but not crazy in the surroundings.

Visited in 2018. The molasses cookie ice cream has me dreaming of a return visit. I almost went back for seconds on the same day! Writing a review now as I just looked this spot up again to tell friends to check it out when they are in town this week. My favorite ice cream I’ve ever had!!

The owners need to work on their attitude. My sweet daughter was curious and started trying some chocolates out of the bins. Owner ran towards us and started screaming that I’m supposed to pay for that stuff. Excuse me? How am I supposed to know the weight of everything she consumed? Absolutely disappointed.

Don't come here with kids! If you do, and they screw something up, expect to be yelled at. During our visit, the staff was extremely rude when our 18-month old got into the "self-scoop " candy dispenser. Yes, we get it. These are COVID-19 times, and touching loose candy makes it unsellable. We gladly offered to pay (and paid for) the entire container of candy....but the clerk insisted on continuing to run her mouth anyway telling us how to watch and discipline our children. You run a candy/nut store. Expect that parents with children will show up, and accidents will happen. Be gracious and understanding. Most importantly, who in their right mind still has containers of unwrapped candy out in the open?

Great ice cream - one of the best in Ptown; however, the Nut House is also quite expensive.
