I've never been angry at a bagel shop before. The wait here is absolutely appalling. Do NOT go. We waited half an hour just to order, then 45-50 minutes to get our food. For a bagel cafe, that timing is so far beyond unacceptable it's hard to describe. Look, I get it, short staffing is hard, and it was a little bit busy, but there was no sense of urgency or rush from any of the workers, most especially the chef, who I think was the owner. I've worked at a small, short staffed cafe running the food station. Things get behind sometimes, but never anything close to this, especially when it's not that busy. I'm angry at a bagel shop.
Line was not long when we arrived, tables were not even half occupied. The place Picked up after my order was placed. Waited 45m for 3 bagel sandwiches. I thought this would be a quick pop- in, pop- out place. Nope. Bagels were fine. Not the worst or the best. I think if you have a bagel spot you like, just stick with that. Not missing anything amazing.
After flying back from London in the morning, I was craving something good from an artisan bagel shop. Spot popped up on Google Maps and this looked like a gourmet bagel shop and was exactly what I was looking for. I had The Beast under Egg Sandwiches (so good) but would've loved a little more Maple syrup, maybe some on the side to dunk my bagel. I also ordered The Classic under Nova Lox and shared that. Both were very delicious. The shop itself had really cool vintage decor and signs hung . There was candy and old-fashioned style sodas for purchase. I had ordered an iced coffee but wasn't crazy about it. You go there though for the bagels, not the coffee. All around great place! Would go back again. Nice parking lot with plenty of parking shared with other nearby businesses.
No doubt the best bagels in Greater Boston. Squint and you’re in Manhattan. (Sorry 2nd placers in Coolidge Corner).
Good food at a good price. A little slow but worth the wait.
Worst bagels ever. First they’re in an open case where you ad everyone else picks them over So much for germs spreading. And they’re almost 2 inches thick with no holes and try slicing them to toast. Get an electric knife. Whoever gave this place more than a zero doesn’t know much about bagels or because they’re reasonable priced.
Wow! I don’t have any pics because I couldn’t stop eating! I got the classic with bacon and avocado and the homemade hot sauce, it was perfect! I wish we had a place like this in Texas! Had great service there as well and the coffee milk was crack! Will be a go to for sure next time I’m in Boston
Slowest Best bagels north of NYC! Cannot be beat!! Maybe Perry will one day trust someone else to fry an egg out of the interest of higher quality of service. The bagels and coffee are the best and most reasonably priced around. Plan on spending about an hour here to get the best bagel sandwiches of your life.
Great bagels and friendly service. I love the chicken and egg sandwich! Wait times can be long on weekends.
Bagels are great; price is right. They need to figure out the different lines in that store. It's chaos.
The bagels are so good but the service is ungodly slow. Please, for the sake of all of Norwood, hire another cashier and grill dude.
Great environment, Great People, Great cheap food, just have to go at the right time to avoid waiting
I like it , definitely I’ll come back .
This place is a gem, delicious food, great people and fun atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced for what you are getting.
These are great bagels. If they aren't the best in the area they are close enough that it isn't worth making a distinction. Bagels are big, chewy and never dry or breast like many supermarket bagels. Clearly they are fresh. The place is also a soda shop which is a little weird but I like that too. I haven't yet but there are some cream sodas I want to try. They give you the ability to mix and match which is fun. Staff has always been great. Let me say that again. Staff is great. They are the kind of people I look forward to seeing in the morning.
Great place to get the best bagels in town! Love the salmon lox or, as they call the "classic"
very cool bagel shop and general store type theme. coffee was AMAZING. very friendly staff, they took care of each customer like they’re their own person. bit of a wait but they really took the time to make each breakfast sandwich perfect. did not notice any wheelchair accessibility or low vision reflective tape on the tall dark steps inside
A true gem in Norwood. They have you covered with an array of bagel options- sweet, savory, unique. Don't skip the fluffernutter bagel sandwich... or the ones with hash browns inside
I believe the service was a bit slow but very good bagels and fair price
Would you like your food to be mind by the owner who is also an amazing cook in action? How about an outstanding customer service that makes you feel at home? Did I mention delicious and freshly brewed coffee? Then you need to go to Spot! The place where your food couldn’t get any better. I posted the pictures so you know what I am saying and why. Thank you, Perry, sweet Anna and my beautiful Maura! Keep up the wonderful job and we will make sure to always swing by when we are in the area.
