The food and service was exceptional. Slightly pricey, but was nice treat once and a while.
I really like battlegrounds but lately I’m finding the food quality seems to be slipping. I order takeout today, I got the Princeton which is avocado with an egg on top. This was the avocado on my sandwich. I ordered it and picked it up in the span of about 30 minutes so it wasn’t like it was sitting out for a while. It smelled off too. I’m also finding when I go that a lot of the food on the menu is usually unavailable when I go lately. They never seem to have an açaí bowl when I go and that’s my favorite thing on the menu. I’m really bummed this is one of my favorite lunch/work spots.
Went to get an ok breakfast today because I was donating blood later on, but I walked out walking in clouds! I was a faithful fan after my first bite of the toast called TURTLE BAY. It has granny's smith, pecans, goat cheese, cream cheese, and chia seeds and drizzled with honey served on an Asiago toast, and I was a fan forever! When I was leaving, I made sure to tell the person at the front counter that it was the best thing I've ate in a very long time. I'm already craving more!
I was recognized by an employee as we walked into the cafe..Cafe... the floor was clean the service was very good.... Coffee was very good...
I recently visited Battle Grounds Coffee Company, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! The coffee shop has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The coffee at Battle Grounds is simply outstanding. I could tell that they take great care in roasting their coffee beans, and it really shows in the quality of their drinks. I particularly enjoyed the maple bacon latte, which was a unique and delicious flavor combination. In addition to their coffee, Battle Grounds also offers a variety of food options. I tried the breakfast sandwich, and it was excellent. The ingredients were fresh, and the sandwich was made to order. One thing that I really appreciated about Battle Grounds is their commitment to supporting veterans and their families. It's always great to see businesses that give back to the community, and Battle Grounds does so in a meaningful way. The staff at Battle Grounds was friendly and helpful, and they made me feel right at home. They were happy to answer any questions I had and make recommendations based on my preferences. Overall, I would highly recommend Battle Grounds Coffee Company to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a tasty bite to eat. The quality of their coffee and food, along with their commitment to supporting veterans, make it a must-visit spot for coffee lovers in the Haverhill and Amesbury areas.
What a cute little place, I love the industrial decor, with the couches by the window is super charming. The shop was pretty full when I went with my daughter around 9:30/10 AM. Our food was good, (we were a little disappointed about not being able to have the rainbow bagel) however the Asiago bagel was delicious. The espresso was on point, and hot chocolate was also great. Place is very cozy, super friendly staff, kid’s friendly with big tables. They have a pretty big menu selection of food, breakfast and lunch. It seems to be a great place to work, and have coffee on weekdays. I’ll be coming back soon.
One of my first adventures into good local coffee was here at Battlegrounds when they first opened. Veteran friendly and great coffee? What more is there to love?!
Went there with friends we had coffee and egg sandwiches. It was yummy, excellent coffee too.
Awesome location. Clean and well decorated, good atmosphere. Staff is really nice. Cappuccino had a bit too much espresso in it, but maybe I'm a wimp. Food is good.
Good coffee and good food every time I’ve come here. The staff is always friendly and the seating is cozy
Weird experience. I walked in at 15:30 and the barista looks up at me and goes ‘We’re closed!!’ … well now I’m confused cause it’s 30 mins before closing and the doors are unlocked and the lights are on. Super sad cause I’ve been wanting to go here forever.
The place deserves a 5 star but the very pro staff bring it down to 1. No memory, no extra mile not a good service
Good cold brew (like 8/10, pleasantly nutty) but they're one of those places that gives you a little packet of cream cheese and a plastic knife instead of just putting the cream cheese on the bagel.
Good Coffee and great variety of breakfast sandwiches!!! But it’s overall overpriced!!!
Their digital menu in the cafe is completely outdated and all prices are much more expensive than shown. Make sure you check your receipt. They make no mention of this before or after you pay. The only way I found out is checking my receipt and realizing I have been getting overcharged every single time. My “$4.75” coffee I ordered ended up being $7.20 on my receipt. The “$6.00” breakfast sandwiches are actually $8.50. When asking the barista why I paid $11 more than the menu says she told me people have been complaining for weeks but the owner still will not update it. So the owner is knowingly and willingly deceiving customers on a daily basis and can’t be bothered to update the menu. I even emailed the owner Dana with these concerns privately 2 weeks ago and never got a response. This is why I am now leaving this review so others are aware. This is just bad business all around and I will never step foot in there again.
Best coffee and breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a long time! Found this place in Haverhill researching some ancestors in the local graveyard. Coffee was very tasty and the double egg and sausage breakfast sandwich was to die for. Very busy spot but we arrived early and found seats easily. We WILL return!
Really cute coffee spot in downtown area, the atmosphere was great. Tasty coffee and the acai bowl was good. The avocadotoast with smoked salmon was soo fresh. Really good breakfast spot. We will definetely be coming back.
What a cozy spot. Coffee was great and the atmosphere was very chill. Great spot to work or just have a cup of coffee.
Big fan of the cinnamon toast crunch latte. I have ordered it probably on 5 different occasions. A friend and I ordered food the last time I was there and it was pretty tasty.
DOG FRIENDLY INDOORS THANK YOU This cafe has fantastic coffee, espresso drinks, tea drinks, fantastic pastries and more. This cafe is also dog friendly indoors - which I am in an extremely cruddy at home situation (think "Worst Roomates Ever" the Netflix show, and the roommate has been giving death threats to my dog) and having a wonderful cafe like this that is pet friendly is so beyond amazing for those like me with a dog who need a safe place to research new living situations while not being able to leave the poor pup at home alone. Even irregardless of the fantastic pup policy, can't recommend this place enough. <3
