Best local place to do some work with a high quality beer selection or a coffee and some small dish options to nibble on. 💻🍺☕🎶. Great staff and vibe.
They wasted no time before kicking me out of their cafe this morning. I didn’t even sit down for 5 mins before someone walked over and told me I couldn’t stay without buying something. And if I had a chance before he harassed me, I might’ve bought one of the many STALE BAGELS you serve on GRIMY plates and GRUNGY utensils. If you’re black (or at least not white passing like the gentleman who kicked me out) you might want to do your work and eat breakfast elsewhere! SMH Roslindale, do better.

Great cafe. One of the rare places that sort of does it all. Good coffee and espresso drinks, solid food, terrific beer selection (on tap). Also plenty of space and good wifi. I haven’t gone during live music so I can’t speak to that but love this place.
Nice atmosphere. Drink and sandwich were hot when I got them. Quiet music in the background. Free Wi-Fi. Very friendly staff. 3/5/23 Place was busy today. Background music was perfect for this boomer! Staff was as friendly as ever. Nice clean accessible bathroom in the main floor.
As I walk into this top knotch shop, my snout is greeted by the scent of fresh boutique coffee's and my ears are met by hip music streaming out of a high-end sound system.. The Square Root in Roslindale Sq, MA is byyyyy far a 5 star cafe.. -Not to mention the best chix salad sandwich in the city.. The Square Root.. -Great food, great coffee, good music and good cheer abound.. They also feature weekly live headliners...
Live music / entertainment never disappoints . A small venue is part of the atmosphere. Great morning coffee /pastry joint.
This is a great local cafe/restaurant to hang out. have savory bites and beer at night. Doba little work..they always have live music and or events.

A great neighborhood Cafe. Coffee, sandwiches and pastries during the day, pizza, tots, beer and wine in the evening (not open every, evening - schedule changes frequently). They offer live music, comedy, or a pub quiz several nights a week. A favorite local gathering place where you can get to know the owner and bar tenders/baristas by name.
Great food, love the service. Despite the damage to the barber shop next door (it's all boarded up), the cafe is still open for business as usual.
It's a definitely different kind of karaoke atmosphere to me it's more like a nightclub setting it's just very different in the spirit there but that's okay they enjoy each other's company, the karaoke DJ Dominic was really nice for me it was a strange setting because I'm not used to that that doesn't make it strange it just makes it strange for me because I'm not used to that kind of a setting the other singers were really good and they were nice everybody had a good time! The people that run it as well were really nice! 😊🙏😊 Last night November 7th I got to speak to their manager Andrew over the phone and let him know that I wanted to include this story experience in the book and he was thrilled about that he and I are going to meet sometime face to face and I look forward to meeting him and sharing their story in the second book which will be called life stories volume two life happens I'm in the process of working on it now! Also praying for the November 8th election hopefully it turns out in a good way! We need a government democracy that works right for the people and not for the people who were elected to represent the people! Many of them in Congress seem to forget they were there to represent people not represent themselves! So I am praying that we get a government that believes in democracy and fairness for all again! When we send people to Congress we expect them to represent us and to represent the country well as well and not become an embarrassment in our government! Anthony and Sandra have hosted our parent soccer school group on three separate occasions, the most recent last Friday (October 21). They and their team are absolutely the best to work with, they handle all the details so we just have to show up and have fun. They go the extra mile with little details like having our school colors for plates, napkins and plastic wear as well as getting our logo and putting it up on the board with our drink menu. All this without us even asking - love the attention to details they provide! The food is delicious and cooked to order so food never arrives cold and there is always a fight to who can take the left overs home - if there are ever any. Do yourself a favor and get the pretzels and pizza - as well as the tater tots - you won’t disappointed. Their staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. Every time we go, I feel like we are arriving at my family’s house. They remember so much about us after just two previous visits. I enjoy catching up with them just as much as I do with the fellow parents. I can’t say enough about how quick and professional they all are. Their atmosphere is so warm and friendly, just like them and their team. We are already planning our next event at their place for June! Thanks again for everything you have done for our school and parent fundraiser, Anthony, Sandra and team! We will see you again in June.

My band played here and had a great experience. The staff were all super nice and really went out of their way to make sure we had a well run show. Great drink selection too. Would recommend checking out the concerts here.
