This place is not bad, and the counter servers are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere would benefit from a little attention to make it more inviting. The chairs and tables aren't places to spread out or settle in. They have hanging plastic shields between the tables, which are pretty unwelcoming. I get that they are meant to be a COVID precaution, but research has shown they don't help stop the spread of COVID and in fact, make the atmosphere less safe by blocking air circulation, which is the key to indoor COVID safety. They have two spots with butterfly sling chairs--one near the door and one in the far back-- and these are the ticket as far as I'm concerned. I settled into one in the back and got comfortable. At first, they were playing music that sounded to me like show tunes in French. I didn't care for it. But soon it switched to what I think of as "coffee house jazz." Much better. This place has potential.
Crowded, really quick service, great coffee slightly pricey compared to other local cafés but good anyway! Nice area of town and outdoor sitting is perfect for a coffee esp in late spring!
They don’t allow pets. No sign on door stating no pets allowed. Their reason was because they serve food.
Great little coffee shop: terrific coffees, good food, friendly team, and a relaxing vibe. This venue is a very welcome alternative to the large chains.
Very cute, love the selection and love the COVID-19 conscious partitions. Chairs were not the comfiest; but very cute for the space nonetheless! The staff was polite and I enjoyed having the option of a "dine in" mug for my tea.
Blended coffee is just amazing
Hidden gem in West Acton. Great delicious espresso based drinks like their latte served to you with beautiful latte art. Nice pastries to go with it. Why go to national coffee chain stores when you have such a beautiful, excellent, locally owned place like this one!
Incredible nitro cold brew. Yes, it's a little pricey, but that stuff is jet fuel. *Tasty* jet fuel.
I was looking for a small coffee shop along my endeavors & came across this cute coffee house! Great quality coffee & a cute atmosphere! I highly recommend making the stop if you find yourself in the area.
If you are looking for a coffee shop in the Acton area I highly recommend stopping at the Acton Coffee House! The coffee was rich and delicious. The staff did a great job and was kind, also the atmosphere is bright and airy. The coffee shop is warm and inviting, there are subtle details of interest, such as poetry books on the wall. It’s a real easy place to get lost in your work and conversation. Will be back! Highly recommend.
Love this service , ambiance and menu. Very special atmosphere.
A cute little coffee shop in a cute little town. The employees were all friendly and seemed to be familiar with most of the customers who came in. Also noticed a lot of the customers were very friendly to each other. Definitely a nice little place to sit and enjoy a coffee.
so cute
Wonderful people, queer friendly and excellent coffee ☕ I love it here 😍😍😍
We chose this place over Starbucks to support local. We had just arrived in MA on vacation and were excited to visit a small quaint town. We placed our order and then stood with others to wait. One of the women making drinks would bring them up and set them in the counter, but her call-outs of the drinks was so quiet, no one knew what they were. The next drink she set out after the smoothie my son ordered looked like the milky way blended that I ordered, but we couldn’t hear what she said. There was writing on the cup, so I stepped up and turned it so i could read it. It simply said “M blcoffe” so was it mine or not? I stepped back and another worker with green hair loudly announced, “Just for future reference, don’t touch other people’s drinks because it isn’t sanitary.” THAT was certainly loud enough for all to hear. By the way, both the workers had touched the cup, no gloves. The creamers and other accoutrements sit on a counter for common use. But don’t touch any cups. Okay… I asked her what the offending drink was, and she thought it was mocha. By that point, we had already been waiting for 15 minutes and I had been publicly shamed, so I just wanted to get out of there. I said I would just take that one, after all I’d already touched it. She replied, “Well, it’s probably someone else’s drink you’ll be taking and that will mess up other orders. We will remake yours.” I said it’s fine, and she said, “If that’s what you want to do, go for it.” There were only a few people in there, and no one had made a move for that blended drink so it was most likely mine they messed up. I settled for a drink I didn’t order or want and I get a, “if that’s what you want to do?” No, what I WANTED to do was receive the drink I actually ordered. I guess that’s asking too much. Can I get my $5 tip and $15 for three drinks back? Not great introduction to Massachusetts for this Midwestern girl. Next time, we’ll just go to Starbucks.
This place is amazing! Friendly, talented baristas. They serve Dean's Beans. If you don't know Dean's Beans, look it up! It will change how you buy coffee. Acton Coffee House has cool perks for doing good and buy fair trade coffee beans!
Music plays, poetry contests are run, people meet to chat or go therevto work. Interviews are held...Best of all Acton Coffee has great coffee and coffee drinks , tea, iced tea, lemonade. Also, cookies as big as your head and scones and muffins. Some gluten free. Early customers get the best variety in baked goods. There is seating both indoors and outside I come weekly with a friend. The staff members are efficient but also friendly and helpful. Such a comfortable place.
Staff is amazing. Coffee is great.
Not enough stars to sing praises of this amazing coffee shop and all the baristas who work here. Not only is their coffee delicious, they are always willing to make changes to my drinks and have even come up with some really cool and interesting flavors. This is my favorite place to hang out with friends and I always recommend it out of town friends and family as well. If you are lover of chai, try their "dirty" chai which is a shot of espresso in chai. So good!
Great small coffee shop. Good coffee & great ambience.
