This was our 'go to' spot! Funny, when we first arrive to St. Michaels we were a bit lost when we wandered in to Blue Heron Coffee. They were so helpful! So the next day we were sure to stop in! On our way out of town we stopped again and this time also bought freshly ground coffee to give as gifts. So friendly. Such delicious coffee. I had a simple iced tea that was the best I have had in years. Great vibe, great people, and smells delicious inside! Kristin

Phenomenal espresso and an amazing ambiance bestowing a local vibe. The aromas, sounds and sights from the roaster greet you as you enter the cafe, creating a tantalizing experience as you walk in. Upon being greeted by the owner Jay, I felt immediately welcome, like dropping in on an old friend. The espresso was a Honduras coffee roasted for extraction and it was the best I've palleted in years. This place is a gem. Forget the drive thrus and other coffee spots, if your about coffee and have a minute to enjoy it Blue Heron is the spot. Coming from an old school Barista, this guy knows what he's doing, from roaster to espresso extraction. AA++

Blue Heron gets it's coffee beans from a diverse international sources. The beans are all ground on site in this small boutique coffee shop. The husband and wife owners are the nicest people you could meet. If you love great coffee, this is a must stop for St Michaels visitors.

Quintessential local coffee shop serving fresh small-batch roasted coffee onsite. Super friendly service, outdoor seating and laid back vibe. And the coffee was great!

A truly delightful coffee experience! Coffee is fresh roasted onsite. The service is superb and an observant shopper can find some unique gifts as well. Highly recommended alternative to ****bucks.

Perhaps one of the best small business experiences I’ve had in a long time. The moment I walked in the owner was warm and chatty. His coffee recommendations were great, the shop was comfortable and products were impressive. I hope anyone reading this will support this place as I will definitely will be.
