Forget Starbucks....this place has the perfect latte and a true cafe environment! Friendly fast service as well! One of my absolute favs in the area!
Cute setting. Coffee is good 🤤.
Had an iced latte and it was excellent coffee! The flavor was more of a mild roast and super aromatic. Loved it!
I went here because it had such a high rating but honestly don’t waste your time. Ordered the hazelnut latte which was DISGUSTING and WATERED DOWN. When I went complain that it was more water than coffee the barista just kept saying “but you ordered a latte”. I’ve had lattes before, I know what it tastes like and that is not it! Also ordered the chocolate cake which tasted like they just bought it from Giant and served it. Iced caramel macchiato was way too sweet and sickening. Overrated and a complete waste of money. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Pretty consistent coffee offering, nice space, good ambience.
10/10 Experience. The croissants always taste fresh and are very fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The espresso shots taste is fantastic since the coffee beans are always fresh and when paired with the pastries they serve it truly makes for a perfect start for anyone's day.
They do not know how to make a cappuccino!!! Also, the person at the cashier was texting while I was waiting to order.
One of the better cups of coffee I’ve ever had.
pros: coffee is delicious, my latte and my wife’s americano were both phenomenal. the atmosphere is lovely. the music wasn’t too loud so I could imagine this would be such a nice place to study and get some work done. the pastry I wanted wasn’t available but there is a good pastry selection! cons: this was my second time visiting and the service was not great (both times). the person behind the counter (who was not the same person as the last time—but they were equally as rude) didn’t speak to us when we walked up to the counter, didn’t say “thank you” and was just pretty . I have worked in retail and restaurants in the past myself so I have a LOT of grace and compassion for folks in the service industry but they were so rude that we felt unwelcome and like we were bothering them. tl;dr: coffee’s EXCELLENT, service is not.
Really really good coffee and pistachio berry croissant
Most definitely the best coffee in the entire area ! Should it be for a macchiato, expresso or regular coffee there is no other place offering delicious coffee like at Black Lion. Not only the owners are true connoisseurs (and very friendly by the way!!) but the coffee comes straight from Ethiopia where coffee originally comes from. The place is very cosy, not noisy at all with great and cool music. Simply the perfect coffee shop to go to for a relaxing moment with a delicious croissant 🥐
This is one of the best quality coffee in the area. The quality of the freshly roasted coffee is outstanding.
The tiramisu was tasty but the London Fog was tasteless, them seem to have forgotten the vanilla. I'll give it another try.
Would be 1 star but the atmosphere was nice. For a coffee roaster/specialty shop, the barista could not steam milk correctly to save his life. The milk foam was overly dense, to the point of staying in a ball with very little milk mixed with the espresso. Also, the bags of beans did not have a roast date nor flavor notes which is weird since it is a roaster.
Pros: very nice atmosphere, good aesthetic for a coffee shop Cons: -Whomever the team leader was behind the counter couldn't bother to remove their earbuds. *Maybe that's why you I thought I said 2 Iced Lattes when I was the sole human being in there.* - Took batched cold brew or iced coffee and put it in a cup then splashed milk on it and called it an " iced latte " -Keeps batched Cold brew in a jug with a bunch of ice watering down the coffee When someone orders an espresso drink hot or cold it's expected to be made fresh. Not poured out of a plastic jug filled with ice. That was a wild experience.
Lady there is not nice with a negative attitude for no reason. Maybe she does not want customers or does not care. A couple of times i had been there and their espresso machine was broken.
Saw on their website that they close at 5, which contradicted what Google said. So I tried calling, 4 times throughout the day. No answer. So I went to check it out and it turns out Google has their updated closing time, but not their website to actually order food. Wish I could have had this clarification over the phone before I drove over.
Coffee was very good. The croissant wasn't. Did I mention that the coffee was excellent?
I wanted to support a Black-owned or minority-owned business this morning. However, the service was less than I could accept. It's important that all customers can receive pleasant service- simple "good mornings," "how can I help you?," etc., since we are visiting the establishment to support it.
Ordered and Iced dirty chai coffee with oat milk. Love this place
